we have not changed anything while we have been it Germany & France rule the EU no matter what you think
would not be in their interest at all to give us worst deals
project fear the EU WILL want to trade with us it is in both parties interest to do so
my gut feeling is we will get some sort of deal either way if he doesn't deliver come Oct 31st the tories have no chance in the next GE

Can't speak to the accuracy of this but it's pretty damning for our resident "conservatives" if it's true.
Them damn Republicans - OBSESSED with spending other peoples money
ps - Yes, it's clear from this that the deficit was initially massive under Obama (because he stimulated the economy post crash) but he reduced it every year. Pretty much every Republican borrowed more and more more of other peoples money the longer they spent in the WH

Germany and France don't rule the EU, no matter what you think... France's economy has mostly been fcked for 10-15 years now, so I don't know where you get that one from. Standard "I hate France" attitude, most probably... Germany's economy is doing well because they've ran their country well, no other reason. (Tho they still have PLENTY of problems...) Of course it would be in their interests to give us worse deals!! Do you know what you've even said?! A worse deal for us is a BETTER deal for them. They don't need us! And finished with more "gut feelings." Appreciate your scientific approach to all this...

But insult people with MENTAL DISABILITIES? Makes me SICK. Well said Jacob. The most hilarious thing is - he's actually pretty liberal himself - just doesn't know what the word means

oh here we go again for anybody who wants Brexit
no i don't hate the French or any other nationality
European nations are heavily invested in their relationship with the UK. The UK is the fourth-largest importer in the world, and the EU needs British import demand.
EU member states’ trade ties with the UK vary, but several European economies send a significant amount of their exports to Britain.
Nearly 14% of Irish exports went to the UK in 2015. 9% of the Netherlands’ exports and 7.4% of Germany’s exports also went to this nation in 2015. With countries like Germany facing reduced global demand for their goods, European governments cannot afford to lose access to British customers.
sorry for being a human and having a gut feeling its part of our make up

Not the genocide you libtards all despise but I contribute my fair share, just too bad fish aren't the lowest common denominator lmao.
Going out again tomorrow AM to kill a hundred, I just feel so bad for the pain they suffer, almost as bad as I feel about how miserable you libtards live your pathetic lives. BAN FISHING RODS 2020!!!
Cheers, Royce
Ironic how conservatives are pro-life but you’re trying to scare the “libtards” with unborn fish. Please. This sh%$ doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is the use of the word “libtard.” Call me a communist. Call me a socialist. Call me an idiot. Call me a dumbass. Call me a baby killer. But the word “r*tard,” or any word that references it, including “libtard” is wildly inappropriate. People with autism or similar illnesses are constantly tormented and teased with it, and I’m @!$#ing done with it. My oldest daughter has Aspergers, which is on the Autism spectrum. And even though she specifically is in the “high-functioning” category, she’s still been called the r-word. I have friends who have kids with Autism as well. It’s disgusting that people still use that word, not only to insult people with disabilities, but build words off of it to attempt to insult someone. Like, why go out of your way to make up a word with such a horrible background? Post as many fishing or hunting photos as you like. Insult me, I don’t care. But insult people with MENTAL DISABILITIES? Makes me SICK. Why keep feeding this arsehat? He has not posted anything remotely close to the thread subject and you all keep replying. At least he has been consistent with his self-deprecating words - just too bad fish aren't the lowest common denominator lmao.Definitely something wrong between the ears when you keep posting/trolling as he is doing and being told you are doing it and you keep doing it. Oh wait a minute, that is exactly what his American idol DT does daily.

stokie1947 if you think the EU are going to give us as good deals when we're outside the club - you are living in cloud cuckoo land. The EU have already stated that their members will always get the best deals - they have categorically said they will not renegotiate the withdrawal agreement - you know the one that leaves us still beholden to them, but without any of the influence. A deal that literally no-one on either side of the debate wants... This is what the EU have put on the menu... There is no bespoke deal for the UK - if they did that it would cause internal problems for them, as well as incentivising other member states to leave - they just will not do it. And have repeated that many times. What indicator have you seen that this position will change?

V funny. Used to mistakenly think she was OK... has some interest in saving the planet etc. But the more I discover... the more she seems just like pa... Also highly amusing to see that DJT's ego just couldn't help but shoe-horn his own name into his congratulations to Johnson... "they call him Britain Trump"... In response to her twit... Replying to @ivankatrump @borisjohnson "Look Daddy.....I'm governmenting!!!" Replying to @kimbly73 @ivankatrump @borisjohnson Look at me daddy... I am playing Diplomat Barbie!!!

paulus - nail on the head.
Personally I'm almost unfussed about if we are in or out of the EU, I care far more about housing & wages (real stuff). Always have.
I just wish the people peddling it would be honest about the options on offer & the pros/cons of them all.
Instead 3 years later despite all the evidence to the contrary we are still being sold the idea that we can leave & retain all the benefits with no negative consequences whatsoever. And certain people in this thread, and millions in the country, still believe that to be true.
And quite possibly, even when those negatives do occur, they will direct their anger at Remainers, the French or anyone else they can blame rather than the actual architects of the whole thing.
THAT is what I find infuriating

Yep Jack - 3 years focussing on this un-sortable mess has meant scant attention to the many other real problems we face Most of which been exacerbated by 10 years of Tory austerity (aka ideological war on the poor). On the plus side - one of the chief architects of this mess, is now on the hook for delivering it. And as we now know - delivering it is an impossible task - so it will be fun watching him drink from the poison chalice. I'm no great fan of his, but Tusk put it best...

Yes, countries trade with us, yes, losing us altogether would have an impact, BUT, THEY are in the strong position now. They are part of a MUCH bigger and stronger economy than us. They have other options, we don't. (Good options, not some made up trade agreement we don't even know will happen yet...) Yep, sorry, gut feelings aren't good enough here. At least back it up with something you've read or heard somewhere. We're all laymen here, our gut feelings count for nothing.

And I think I have the right to “talk to you about that bs.” Do you witness it first hand every single day? Does your child complain about people not understanding her no matter how hard she tries? Does you child have severe anxiety attacks that can prevent her from moving, especially in social situations? Does your child suffer from intense depression at AGE 14? I see this every day, and it’s sad. But in other ways, it’s beautiful. She’s one of the most creative people I’ve ever seen, and I’m not just saying that because she’s my kid. Her alternative way of thinking about things can often lead to new ideas others would never have thought of. Even in a world where people frown upon Autism and it’s effects, she, and countless other children with Autism, will grow up to be important members of society! They have the ability to overcome seemingly insurmountable adversity and lead this world to a better future. I don’t think I could have put this in words any better. It is my 11 year old niece that has Aspergers but she spends a few hours with me every day as well as a couple weekends a month, it gives her mother a break but I also love spending time with her because of her amazing sense of humor and creativity. The word retard in all it’s form sickens me, I see first hand what it does to a child doing her hardest to fit in. I know as she grows older, her uniqueness, her way of looking at things will be sought after, will see her doing amazing things, even know, she could hold her own in a debate with pretty much any adult on these forums but at 11 she just wants to fit in. I also know kids whose autism is so severe, they will always need care, but each has something special about them, something unique and that word is a serious injustice to who these kids are. Anyway, I tend to stay out of political threads, just wanted to say a little thank you to Jacob for pointing this out.
