State of the Union (we're going September 4th)

We had every intention of teeing up this weekend for real - but for that to happen the stars had to align and a few things had to go perfectly according to plan. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and we're now going to target a September 4th start date for both the tours and Q-School.

Since we've been on a much longer hiatus than anticipated, it's going to affect how we finish out Season 3. At this point our main goal is integrating the 800+ new members since TGC2 was released. This means that there will be no multi-week invite-only playoffs to end the season. We will be running normal events right through with the last event of the season functioning as your tour's playoff. PGA/European tours will not have the ability to crossover and play both - apologize for the inconvenience.

Heading into Season 4 were are looking to make some format changes that will better organize the talent levels in the pro tours. It will also fit our new auto-reg format better and give a clear path from the bottom to the top. We will post more details on how all that will take form in the coming weeks.

New TGCT members, we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to register, play and receive a tour card. I know many of you have been waiting patiently and I hope you are ready to go soon - once we fire up the TGCT machine there are no breaks! (brakes?). Please keep an eye on the main page or our forums for the latest news/updates - we will be very clear on when you can register and how you earn your first tour card.

Not likely this week - but can't say for sure.  Will push to have them in for the next week's.

I'm flying south tomorrow on a family emergency - won't be able to tackle all the TGCT stuff I had planned to do this week/weekend.  Tim is also very busy and hasn't been able to push a few updates that have been completed - we're close and were trying really hard to hit August 27th - just couldn't do it with all that's going on in our personal lives right now.

In an interesting side note that is of no relevance to anyone but myself TGC2 released on June 27 which is my birthday.  TGC Tours will relaunch with TGC2 on September 4 which is my wife's birthday.

So as A newbie here, how do the seasons work? Does 4 start shortly after 3 is done or is there a hiatus for a bit? Just curious and thank in advance for answering!

There;s usually a one week break between seasons. It won't be an extended period of time between the seasons.

What's all this waiting until everything works before you start business? You do know what game this site uses for the tour right? Just bang it out there and maybe sort it out later, if you can bothered. Even if you can't, some fanboys will tell everyone it's normal for nothing to work and slag people off for expecting too much. Bah!
