I was bought this game by a m8,even tho I said im gonna wait n see wot the reactions are from forums and f1 pals.
Just done the 1st career race 25%, and the engine and gears are 50% already.Luckily there was a patch for it,so I may be good to carry on.
Looking at it,there does seem alot of depth to the r n d,which brings a bit of longevity to the game *hopefully*.
Multiplayer looks a disaster atm,tho I aint played yet.
Having said all that,I love starting afreash and tting.
Happy racer's ☺

I don't do online racing, though many do. From what I've seen, the in-game online racing is just a crash fest, full of morons best avoided. If you want competitive racing, try the Precision Racing League. I have a varied and unpredictable schedule, so such a strict schedule doesn't work in my case, but Canuck has seemed to enjoy it a lot. Looks like the development pathway in 2017 demands that you address reliability and durability first, and then move on to the specific areas of chassis, aero, power unit, etc.
Have fun!

I have no interest in the RnD. I wish I could just race. I'm not smart enough to figure all that stuff out

By the end of a work day have had enough of analysis & planning! To those that have the game - is the RnD integral? Can it be dialled/dumbed down? In related news - the race today was interesting! Think Max actually had it right for once - Vettel a bit stupid making those sort of moves when fighting for a championship.

The R and D isn't that difficult at all. I'm not a big technical racing guy. It's very similar to a skill tree in a game like Skyrim.

I'm sure those who dive into it can optimize better, but it doesn't seem super integral if you don't want it to be

Actually, I was expecting your response to reference driving here in Vancouver -- believe me, if anyone's going to flip their car, it's going to be here... happens on a regular basis.

It’s just so hard not to hit the wall and send you into a bumper car tailspin
