There are a couple tweaks to the putting that will be in Monday. As far as the changes made, we reduced what has been refered to on the forums as the "spy glass effect" on the marker. So for those struggling with short puts, your back swing matters a lot more than it used to. I imagine this is the reason some feel that they are over/under hitting short puts. From Adam at HB So that's pretty much what I figured and welcome the change. Just means we have to be more accurate - just wish they'd do the same with the driver

Once we get used to it i'm sure it will be better, but only having playing one or two rounds then going in to do you're final round of a tournament i felt i was second guessing myself on every putt.On a few shortish putts say 3-7 ft i must have put it past the hole by 5-6 ft. Tbh there was only a few people moaning that the puttin was easy alot of people still consider it to be the hardest part of the game.Like you said they maybe should have tweeked the driving and flop sensitivity before the puttin.

jim, im with you, i feel like it costed me a handful of strokes in my last 4 round tourny, maybe a lil more, the short and long was unexpected as i was just going about things like usual, not knowing about the change in that aspect, i thought it was more for the left to right breaks and how it was effected off the putter head.

Maybe the tweak was for the Protee guys , I never saw anyone else (once they figured out marker) calling for putting change
And I know 99/100 of us here would have rather had and OB/drop addition

Gotta say though, in most cases PC users have benefitted from earlier updates. This is one of the unfortunate times when it didn't.
I played my last two rounds in the euro event unaware any changes had taken place. Just thought my putting was off. -20 in first 2 rds and -9 in the last 2. <sigh>

Unfortunate for you guys to have it happen on the tour events though, that's got to be frustrating.

I'm not sure I'll even make the cut in week 2

Well I play on PS4 and got pretty good at the putting so this will definitely mess things up. The sensitivity of the joystick will matter a lot more as the spyglass effect helped with the PS4 controllers. Seems like pc or xb1 players will have an advantage as their joysticks are stiffer. Pun intended if golf is your fetish. Better get my week 2 rounds in now with this bs change.

BS change? Without even trying it? I find it a welcome addition as is, they are still tweaking it, so I imagine the final result will fall between what we have now and what we had a day or two ago.

My reply is vicariously through my beeramid. It took me awhile to get adjusted to the putting but I finally became pretty good at it. My putting in real life is the best part of my game so I initially became frustrated with this game, to the point of almost giving up. I was always decent at tiger and the change was larger than I thought. Scruffy37 helped me out with some pointers and things clicked. I guess this will help from everyone shooting -16 every round. I will probably get used to it but the sensitivity of the ps4 controller is not enjoyable when putting is so precise in the game. Now time for another Dales pale ale as I shoot my last round in the 50s.

The problem was that people didn't know they needed to make an adjustment. Going in with the knowledge that the putting power has been tweaked should make for an easier transition than the guys finding out on the fly. That's why most of the posts were harsh at the start but have mellowed out with more practice. It really isn't a huge fundamental change so hopefully all members can adjust accordingly - assuming they know what's up - that's half the battle!

It's not that it's more sensitive...it's completely in consistent. I've never missed more 3-5 footers than in my past few days. Completely agree with brionne's assessment. I've hit 3 foot putts 3 inches (literally) and 14 feet off a lip out (literally).
Putting is completely effed right now.

I've only had two rounds with the new patch so I will have to hold back judgment. Hopefully Monday's update alleviates what you're describing!

Just played two rounds on easy courses to see what all the 'putting fuss' is all about after the recent update, and I agree with all the pc players' comments. I scored -2 under on a course I usually get -16 thanks to the inconsistency of putting speeds. On medium range putts the ball either takes off like a tracer bullet, or dribbles 3ft like it's doing you a favor. It wouldn't surprise me if you could drive off the tee with you putter now.. Depending on whether it feels like it. I'm hoping that the fault is lying with my style of playing and that Pc'ers will be able to find consistency with practice. Lol how do you think i feel i just threw away my chance at winning the TOC and now they say they will be making tweeks to it on monday, not saying i would have won but had a good chance, now i feel i was robbed. I can just imagine Jimgem.. I'd feel robbed too
