Are there Xbox / PS4 stock controllers that actually work on a PC? I thought only things like Microsoft, logitech and some DS can work on PC and even then some need extra software to run at all with all the proper buttons working n such. If this is a case banning all but stock, then pretty much eliminates many top players, including one admin who might turn very cranky.  not sure if youre being serious....but Xbox 360 controllers are just plug and play. |

Xbox is Microsoft no? Arnt you a computer wiz? You claim to be all the time without actually saying it. Yes, both Xbox and PS4 controllers work on PC, not even sure if you are trolling at this point. Be sure to check on that anglesnap box one more time!

I was planning to buy the Nacon Revolution Pro Controller, cause it have some advantage for racing games and elite dangerous wich I play. Its a legal controller and its allowed in E-Sports. How is this related to TGC2? You can adjust the deadzone on the leftstick and rightstick 46° amplitude for advanced accuracy. Dont think it will be considered as a cheatcontroller for TGC2 is it? Cause...what will the deadzone do with the swing? Never understood deadzone anyway. Depends completely on how HB coded the swing. Could be that you cant swing properly after deadzone adjustment, could be that you become a straight shooter. Deadzone is usually just how far from center you need to move the stick for it to register a movement. To me that's an illegal device. Just my opinion, but why use something that benefits your game. Why not just try to get better. I love trying to tame a game and it's super rewarding when I play my butt off with a regular old controller. This, "well my deadzone is set at 49.5%"and that way the controller does most the work I just add my own touches. Naw. If it helps with accuracy at ALL in my opinion you are cheating. You're using something that aids your swing. Not cool and so unfair to those that practice their butt off. C'mon just do it!!! You dont need your swing aided in anyway. That's what golf is about, hitting them straight on your own. You might as well use Red tees too. Not trying to be an ass just don't get the need for aides in any way,shape, or form!!! |

Still can't quite believe how many are focused on input methods here.
The OP is only asking for feedback on what to consider inappropriate level of straightness based on numbers.... nothing to do with what device delivers those numbers.
Banning input devices is not at all up for debate in this thread. And I'm 99.9999% sure that won't happen - why? Because it's just not necessary! You can just use those lovely numbers in post 1. That's all you need.

Stock controllers are the one's that come with an XB1 or PS4. These can be used on PC. I use my XB1 controller with a Micro USB cable. Fairly easy. Are you telling me you didn't know people could do this? I don't use controllers and know nothing about them really. When I went to the store to find one, I was pointed to the Dualshocks. So not trolling, just know very little about them. I had to even buy a little dongle for the dualshock to connect correctly to my computer wirelessly cause the Windows anniversary update killed my bluetooth controller. In my job to review hardware, I don't review anything with a controller, never owned a console game or really used them. Give me a mouse, keyboard and a PC and i'll tell ya just about anything you want to know. |

Curious to know if there's a range of setting you guys can put in place where the API automaticly alerts you to suspicious rounds? I think this is the reason I have access to the API now. No need for automatic alerts when detective Canuck is on the case.  |

Edit, this was directed at brighttail You want a custom computer that can hit 5Ghz on 4 cores that can play games on four synced monitors running at 4k resolution, while you stream your live play and record it at the same time for your youtube channel AND you want it all custom hardlined water cooled and enough RGB to illuminate a small sun? I can build that and make it happen. You want to know what controller to use for your PC? Go to Best Buy. |

The one's I've called out individually are outliers to what is most common. Those are the ones that we'd like to receive (civil) feedback from the community. Scott and I have our opinions but we're willing to listen to what the community thinks. & Doyley - as respected members and obviously intelligent people I'd put a bit of stock in your thoughts, so would be very interested to know your opinions on each. Care to share your thoughts here? I think enough posts have passed that you wouldn't be prejudicing the process... but totally get it if you feel better to keep those cards closed tho... |
