Fact is there's been ample numbers of players suspended for being cheats. Hasn't some south amer lad been caught numerous times, demoted from top tour, won tournaments & been caught cheating yet again? Did that not happen? You continue to live in your optimistic world where a bunch of guys playing virtual golf for fake monies play with integrity & respect. Alexandre was caught once (did not do what Steve did) - served his full season suspension - returned as himself, faced the music and is playing clean. Unfortunately for him, members don't have those facts straight and are accusing him of being caught "multiple times" and having been caught "cheating again". Those things in quotes are false. Not defending his initial actions, but definitely will defend his right to play here w/out false accusations. He took his medicine and came back as per the ruling. Something we hoped Steve would do as well. 30, 40 footers multiple times in less than a month. I agree with you on the past about him "taking his medicine", but bombs over and over? Side track, sorry.

If anything, Alexandre should be held up as an example of someone who cheated, repented, took their penalty and returned to be an honest, productive player in our community. I know I'm in the minority in regards to giving people caught cheating 2nd chances, but this is a reason I'm so adamant about it. People can change and I want to give them that chance to either be a Alexandre or be a Steve.

Figured I should come in and establish a base structure upon which all posts in this (and other) threads will be created. Member Behavior Expectations

There is also the issue of accusations of cheating. The process for accusing others of cheating is to PM an admin with the information. Not airing it out in the forums.

Side track, sorry. Wouldn't be being talked about if someone else was making them. Everyone has hot streaks on the greens and he still has 3 putts on his cards aswell. When he was -25 halfway through the PGA everyone thought he'd "cheat" his way past -50 but he shot 68/9 in Round 3 and fell away. But the next time he's near the top end of the leaderboard the accusations will start again and because his English is poor he can't even defend himself

I have been guilty of insinuating in the past. But given the fact that I was 2nd to a multiple account user for my first two wins on TGCT, you can hopefully understand my guarded optimism.

Your welcome. I'm a little concerned ya all b%&in before the new 1 comes out may make the true gamers or as you lot like to refer to them as Web. come or weaker players to think twice about buying the new game. You all need to get if your high horses. Everyone near the top 'cheats' one way or another so if you guys respect HB stop acting like it's life or death Just as I said in the now locked thread, bunch of cheats at the top level and everyone knows it. I have won a couple tourneys, and was top-10 for a long time. I don't really compete for wins anymore, because I somehow stopped seeing the putts like I used to. That's what this game is, being able to putt. I know it can be done, because I used to make many of my putts. Don't say that top players cheat, they can just see the putts better than you. I play on Xbox, so if either of you do, I'll gladly show you how I cheat to get good scores

Disappointing response from Stoomboom there. I appreciate you reaching out SweetTeeBag but reading his thoughts on all this makes me loose whatever remorse I felt for the situation. I feel like I'm listening to a politician. No need to review point by point why this is so delusional (thanks Irving for already doing that). To me, this guy has some problems. He was a great player, good contributor to the community, and made some awesome courses. But it all feels a bit dirty. If he had responded with some rationale for why he made the alternate account, knowing it was wrong, and was sorry for being caught - I would empathize with that a bit. I really enjoy this community and competition and would hate to have that stripped away. But the public threats he dished out were way over the line. Personally, I would have reported to authorities if someone stated they had my personal information and to "watch my back" or whatever he said. The "they are out to get me" defense is used to declare someone unfit for trial. I hope he just stays away now. I don't want anything to do with a guy that goes to these lengths to fool people and then blames everyone else.

I've now witnessed the behind the scenes actions of Steve during the Masters incident, and now his public behavior in this incident. All I will say is that it's clear he enjoys the game and the tours concept, even if his actions haven't always been entirely honorable or in the spirit of competition. I entirely disagree with his actions, but I hope he finds another outlet, or finds a way to interact fairly and openly with the community here.
The only thing I will forcefully strike down is his horsesh*t accusation that the admin community here is unfair, unreasonable, or is in any way biased. I had no part of the admin team when TGC Tours started, but I expressed interest in helping where I could and they welcomed me aboard. This has never been a closed operation. Those who have been the most vocal critics have never even sniffed a volunteer admin role. Why? Because criticizing is 1000 times easier than working to provide an environment where everyone can fairly compete and enjoy the game.
To me it's the old man in the arena adage. You can always express opinions on what you dislike or think should be improved, and you may disagree with the decisions made in Steve's case, but if you can only offer criticisms and not solutions, your opinion is of little value.

What a complete douchebag.
If you didn't cheat and was "set up", why come back to place that clearly didn't want you and that labeled you a cheater?
"This game has taken enough from me" - seriously? It's a freaking VIDEO GAME where you manage to disgrace yourself time and time again.
"I had created a second account" - grounds for suspension right there. Don't want to be labeled a cheater? Well then DON'T CHEAT...
I feel sorry for the people who have to interact in any way with this guy off the internet - whatever they screwed up in an earlier life they hardly deserved that.

Well, not sure if this is a good idea a bad idea or otherwise.
However I would like to express my sincerest of apologies.
I apologize to Cannuck first and foremost. I have no intention of ever acting in any way revengeful to you ever. I lost it and I'm sorry. I felt you were always a bit cold to me, i also had always had a feeling you always knew who i really was. I apologize again, I will not now nor ever act on any threats i made to you and apologize. Seriously you took a picture and ran with it, good job Columbo. Joke aside I hope you will find it possible to one day forgive me.
To TGCT i don't blame you for doing as you did now or ever. As stated in the copied message from Burton, yeah I'm a little concerned over the IP thing. A new address, computer, modem, internet account, cell phone will do that unfortunately especially between accounts. Dynamic IPA's aside you were right in any event. I apologize to the tours for not taking my punishment. It was wrong of me to circumvent your decision no matter how i felt about the decision or situation. I hope you will find in your hearts to one day forgive me.
To the community, i don't expect you to ever forgive me, however it wont stop me from in any event requesting to maybe one day you may find it in your heart to forgive me and allow us all to move past this completely unfortunate situation.
TGCT can close this account and if I ever do return, or am allowed to ever return, I will do so as Steve2golf provided of course that account is ever UN-banned.
Rest assured i will respect and obey whatever decision and course of action the tours decides they may take. Should that happen to be a lifetime ban, I wish truly, honestly and sincerely everyone all the best and i will most definitely honour/obey and respect that whatever the eventual decision.

True friends eh? How about friends who live a double life and everything they have told you is a lie, and when you find out about it, what the hell would you do? Forgive and forget? Hell no. Dude, you cheated, I know you cheated, you cheated on yeti's Sasquatch course with you a round per hour pace with a hundred disconnects getting your free mulligans. They got you for your masters play, and you deny that as well. Shame on you. Geeze, a hundred disconnects and a round per hour pace? Is it even worth to cheat at that point? jesus.... :\ That would be incredibly frustrating to keep doing for a video game that pays no money for coming in 1st thru last.... lol
