First round after a weeks rest from competition golf. Shot a solid -3 with no bogies. No tough par putts either so must have played it pretty safe. Had two holes where the ball teased and didn't drop but happy with that start. 2nd round was very different and after falling short a few weeks ago in the rain i went for a more gung-ho style. It rewarded me with a -11 and joint first on the ps4 leaderboard thus far. Not sure it will make the cut after seeing some of these round 1 scores! Thats great to read means Im joint first on PS4 -5 -9 =-14 / -3 -11 = -14 yep my maths checks out. Think the cut will be low teens suprised because I actually thought there was much better scores to be had.

It might have changed since then but the best score on Xbox 12 hours ago was -13. Maybe the cut will be similar to last week at -10 or -11? I'm surprised too, I thought it would be lower this week.

The calm winds in round two is really helping the scoring,
Was hoping gusty winds on the storm day, but it didn't happen :/

Well, we will see you all next week. Putter went glacial ice cold despite being in Arizona/Kentucky which resulted in a controller flip and 3 jack from 2 inches and official rage quit in mid-point 2. Hopefully next week I can find a flat spot in a fairway.

Hello again. Challenging course. Round 2 was completely different as stated prior and quite hard to adjust. I went with a steady 6 under followed by a gutsy 9 under. I hope 15 under makes the cut. I went ahead and did 3 and 4 while I was at it. Back to the steady 6 under in round 3. 4 came and went then had a terrible three putt from 5 feet followed by a hole In one a few holes later on 16 which I'll try to post to score card. Salvaged a 5 under on the last round for a total of 26 under. That was tied on the ps4 leaderboard for 1st at the present. I would imagine 35ish will be the winner winner chicken dinner. Enjoy

Not sure of my standing after both rounds.

No dream start to round two but the first playing so long, no complaints about a safe par. I have seen some good second round scores coming in, so that puts a little pressure on the pick up a shot or two as soon as possible. I picked up that first birdie on the second, like yesterday, I played a safe shorter shot to the fairway, this left a nice distance to attack the flag which left a six foot birdie putt. In these softer conditions, the third is a must birdie hole, once safely on the fairway, birdie is always on. I was a little disappointed I was just short of the green in two as I think eagle also more than possible but birdie was my goal and that's what I got. A little two much distance on my tee shot on four made birdie difficult, I still had a chance but completely misread the break, safe par. A poor approach on the fifth took away any birdie chance on that hole, my worst shot of the day so far saw my ball hit to far left to leave a long putt, par was made but these are chances I am leaving slip by. It got worse, on six, my approach was a little to long but nothing to much to worry about, my overly aggressive putt for birdie on the other hand was cause for concern, my ball went past the hole by twelve feet or so and when I missed the putt coming back, I got the feeling it was going to be another short week for me. With head hung low, i headed to the seventh, my confidence was rock bottom, I tried to attack the pin but was short, still had a chance with a eleven foot putt but second guessed myself and got it wrong, just a par. My approach on eight was better my putting was worse, a relatively straightforward seven foot putt missed, another poor par. I finally picked up another shot on the ninth but that can not hide the fact I was playing poorly.
A missed green on ten meant yet another disappointing par before I finally played a long range approach that I know I am more than capable off leaving a short putt for birdie, a putt for a change that I did not miss. The conditions allowed to play straight for the hole on twelve, I was shorter than I would have liked but was left with a simple seven foot putt, a second birdie in a row, nice to see but might be that little bit to late. I picked up another shot on thirteen, maybe a little light at the end of the tunnel, I don't know, while I am picking up shots on these holes, I have no doubt that others are as well so I am not really closing the gap, all I can do is push on and try pick up a couple more. I did give myself a chance on fourteen with just a seven foot birdie putt, the problem was that I was on the wrong side of the cup and faced a heavily breaking putt, not surprisingly with my recent putting attempts, I missed to end my birdie streak. I was finally finding my range on approach but sadly not with my putter, eight foot miss on fifteen. I got a bit lucky on sixteen, well first I was unlucky as me tee shot rolled over the edge of the cup, then I got lucky when it rolled off the green and I did not have to putt for birdie, a good chip for birdie and a little bit of respectability to my score card. Which was all taken away when I missed the fairway, green and putt on seventeen, back to five under and that's how it finished.
A very disappointing day, at first poor approach shots, when I got that right, poor putting Nine under for two rounds is not good enough, still it could be worse. We all go through bad patches, guess I am going through one now but we all come out of these patches and I will to, until then, have fun all.

-9 thru 2 rounds. I have missed 5 cuts by 1 stroke so far. I don't see this week being any different.

I'm waiting.... And watching and waiting. Mostly waiting, my wonderful Canadian in-laws just love watching the American political process, I can't seem to get near the ps4 while they're counting votes on tv!

Played my first tour event in many months and was satisfied with a bogey free -6 R1. Played for pitches & it paid off.
Some of those pins on max firm are just bad, but also totally what I expected. Why do people take all the time to design courses and then not take the time to set them up properly? Why have 5 tee options and always use the same setup, wouldn't some more challenge come from changing up the attack angles off the tee a just a wee bit? Once you figure out the route it's just a tournament of bashing in putts. And why is the Kentucky Classic on a desert course? It's a goofy tournament and then you get to the third round lol.

Part of the problem when using separate tees, is that the auto planting of the trees/bushes/rocks will start throwing in stuff in new places...it can change to look of the holes. I tried to do this with Manotick National and ended up getting annoyed...the course already too long enough to edit. So I just stuck with the same tees. I have a proposition already out there to Moe for one of my courses, it does use different tees....it was hell to set up,and someone with a good eye will surely pick out objects from round to round that are/aren't there previously.

Oh I did not realize that was an issue, I hand planted everything 100% on my only course design, so I move tees around with no ill effect.

Hand planting everything leads to the resource meter maxing out, that can lead to gameplay lag. My RCR (Stonebridge GC - Ottawa) is designed that way, planting is almost full and I do get complaints of lag. I literally planted everything on that course and it started from a flat plot. As a result I like to use the auto planting feature when I can, and just use the "Delete auto trees/objects". (After all, I'm creating fictional courses) Maybe it's my imagination...maybe it's a console design thing...maybe it's real, maybe it isn't. But it's what I've come to believe!

What holes had "bad" pins Royce?
This is not a difficult course, you played safe and shot -6, and complain about that, it's confusing really.
Each round I tried to go with 6 front pins, 6 center pins, 6 rear pins. Each round on each hole the pins rotated randomly from a left position or right position or center position. No pins are within 5 feet of the edge of the green All pins have a uniform grade around them (2-3 foot radius)
So in total, each hole has pins on the left, right, center, front and back if the hole allowed for it.
Round 1 was the only round with max firm, but the greens were slow. All the greens would hold a well executed shot. This does not mean there is 18 accessible pins, but it does mean you could have attemped 18 birdie putts.
All of these green have back to front slope, some more than others, while a few have a run off area near one side on the back to gather bad approaches.
For your sake, make sure you never make it to the pga, max firm is common place there, not a fluke in a single round.
When you practice max firm, you learn how to land on fairway and let it roll onto the green to attack the front pins, you can't be entitled to fly it on the green every hole and get close to the pin. Every hole, every hole has an apron in front of the green to use at your disposal. Why you chose not to use them at your advantage in max firm settings is on you.
And for the other stuff, it really disn't make sense. You said 5 differt tee option but all set up the same, not sure if you are talking about the non tournament tees or the tournament tees, either way, the statement you make couldn't be further from the truth, they are all different, different pins, different conditions, different yardages.
