Well this week didn't last long for me. My swing is all over the place, I've relied on it for months and now it has deserted me. I've tried to correct it and thought I had but from the first shot to just about the last I couldn't hit it straight. So frustrating. I started well with a birdie still but I wasn't able to recover from the rough on the 2nd, I should have made the par putt but I didn't manage it. The theme continued until 7. I had made 3 birdies and 2 bogeys up to that point. I hit a good shot into 7 but it rolled into the fringe. Well a possible birdie chip in turned out to be a 3 putt after the chip for a double. I made a great come back shot on the long par 3 7th and had an easy chance for a birdie. I hit it long and missed the return. Double followed by bogey meant the end of the round and the week. I don't quit and I battled on, 4 birdies in the last 7 help to get me back under par but it was too little too late. -3 and staring the cut in the face.
My shot selection and judgement was really good today but typically when I got that right I couldn't swing or putt. Back to the drawing board.

I had the exact same experience this week I couldn't do anything right . Then my ability to read putts deserted me. I've got my swing back but can't judge a putt anymore haha. I love and hate this game so much

Any thoughts webbers on how this track can be toughened up in the off chance it is selected for the Barkley's. It does not suit Firm, so I can't go there, I was thinking just 4 days of Sunday like distances....Thoughts. I did give you a tough Sunday I think, not sure as I have not seen the scores yet, but I did try and give you a tough Sunday in any event.

Seriously though Sunday was tough (in testing). Probably just dropping the boxes back and keeping the pins as is will do the job mate.

Yeah I agree with Moe, Sunday was tough, keep pins the same and longest tees, that should do the trick

I worked my butt off to shoot -6 which at the time was the low of the day but I think I read someone shot -8. I think as a par 70, 7400 yards it's going to make par a great score on most holes. It was still a fair course playability wise but you must be on your game otherwise it could go south in a hurry. I enjoyed it this week going -9 -12 -13 -6 for a -40 finish.

Starting to realize my first round woes are going to haunt me. Back to back -11 rounds and a decent start on Sundays round has me kicking myself. If I score better on Sunday than Thursday, now that is JUST like real golf.

Hi boom boom, well I averaged about 10 under for the first three and shot 3 under in the final. With winds light the primary drop in my score was due to the length. I was still striking the ball well but could not get very close and the length made lofting up options limited if not impossible. The pin position on 12 was wicked as well, but I don't know if there are other holes where some yellow slopes could come into pin positioning. Great course. Bill

Round 4, wow. Every time I had something going a tough pin location shut that down. That and I had about 7 lip outs that went around the entirety of the hole and back at me. Call me bitter, but just not a fan of how it was laid out (might be inexperience talking). Going to have to do a practice round for Day 4 now to not end up on the wrong side of the hole and getting club selections down. Onto next week.

Are Sunday's not suppose to be tough? I thought Sunday was refreshing after 3 easy rounds, As I said in another post, we need rounds like that so we can have a chance at least up on euro or PGA tour. Who ever shots -7 or better on last round, I take my hat off to you.

Score easily should have been a respectable -3 or so, but get on the wrong side of a hole and your are s.o.l.

Moe! Moe Slorkman, where are you? No watchers reports this week - very strange! I'd better investigate further. Much later.....I ordered choppers to fly over Sand Quentin and they sighted a lone figure asleep in a bunker on the 5th, clutching an empty Irish whiskey bottle. It must be Moe his good form of late has deserted him (see what I did there?) and he's been drowning his sorrows. WAKE UP MOE - WE'RE MISSING YOU AND YOUR DAMN REPORTS!!

I needed something special to make the cut after an opening 67. 6 under after 7 was the perfect platform. Unfortunately the putts stoping sinking and then the approach shots deteriorated. Still -9 was a good score and I was happy with 0 droppeds, a marked improvement from the 6 I dropped on the first round. I would have been in the top 30 without those dropped shots.
