Let's join John Lindholm's press conference, already in progress...
"...Yeah, I got some nice work in today, lots of chipping around the greens. Good stuff for a practice round, should really benefit---"
{caddy hands him a note}
"I've been informed that that was the first round. Well, any time you can be mentioned in the same three breaths with Massimiliano Faleschini..."

Well I decided to forge on with round 3 all was well loads of pars few birdies till the 12th had a 45yard chip 90% 3 putt first bogey but I flopped in on 13 so that was evened out.
15th missed an eagle by an inch
16th 180yards out 2 bounces a bit of roll and boom eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! followed by Disconnected yes my eagle broke the @!$#ing game !!!!! I reloaded praying and guess what back to the fairway could I repeat the feat? no i missed the green and up and down for par.
17th salt in the wound lipped out on a very easy birdie putt
18th held a bigger swinger than Frank Sinatra for a suprising birdie.
-5 -1 -6 -1 (after 1)
-13 with 17 to play.
Ive a pumping headache from focusing and the rage so im defo done for the night know.
Best of luck all you bloody need it!

What an interesting thread. I usually try to stay out of threads where my own course is talked about, but I couldn't resist. I have really appreciated some of the comments here, laughed at others, and even been a bit offended by a few....but hey, it all comes with the territory of hosting on TGCT. I was told to make it hard, and I did. I didn't think the greens were even that bad, so the scores were surprising. If we want to play courses with firm setups, there has to be some holes where the pin is inaccessible. We can't have every pin be put in the of the green. That's boring. I still think that some of you are just going for the flag on every hole. My multi-pins aren't set up for you to do that. If you want to, you will have to hope for a lucky bounce out of the rough...or be smart about it and play for the center of the green....I even reward that at times, as people that pay attention will get a very advantageous bounce and roll if they land it on a certain part of the green. Some of you call this tricking up...I call this strategic golf. Anyway, some of you just keep going for the flag on every hole and complain that you can't hold the green...and watch your scores rise Have fun this week Webbers! From a mature individual to another: if you felt offended by my post I surely own you an apology; I may have chosen some words poorly; I edited my original post but maybe that wasn't enough either I don't wanna have any "animosity" with any member of this great community (it's pointless and we're all adults enough to discuss peacefully and respectfully) so I'm gonna be even clearer about what was my personal opinion. I honestly think you're a great designer as many others and, like I said, I really love all your original setups, from Harrison to Kahiko. And the very reason why I do is the fine balance on almost every hole between risk and reward; the need of clever shooting and the satisfaction when you end up well. I like the need of playing for PAR too, as I'm not eager to aim for the pin 100% of the times. I just think, as many other designer do, you probably did get caught up in the process of limiting scores at all costs with the tourney setups recently, now then a lot of people started dismanteling the gaming backbone structure and learning everything there is to learn. And more often than none that "obsession" -as I called it- eradicated some of the clever and lovely design choices you originally made adding a frustrating layer of luck. It is not about "I'm pissed cause I can't reach the flag nearby in two", but more about "If I can't hold the green either bouncing on the first inches of the green, 5-7y off the green on the fairway, in the light rough or in the heavy rough...WTF am I gonna do if not #playforflopsandchips?" That's the ONLY thing I'm "worried" about cause it is a trend of late. And again just my personal opinion on the matter Enough OT Peace and sorry Webbers for cloggin the thread

This is the most polite debate I've ever seen on a forum.
I think it needs alcohol and weapons!
But seriously nice to see a mature discussion.

Hey everyone, my name is Nathan Bedell (Serenity21). I'm new here to the Web.com tour after being promoted by winning last week's Bushwood Open in CC-A. Never thought I'd make it this far this quick. I've still got a lot to learn but I'm having a blast playing here on TGC Tours. Wow... for my first Web tourney this course (The Nomad) is quite a challenge. I thought I was doing pretty decent until I three putted from 10 feet on hole 15. Looking back now that was an easier hole and a birdie would've put me with the present leaders at -6. Still pissed, but such is life. Looking forward to round 2 and hopefully making the cut. I'm also looking forward to posting on here more often. Thanks guys! thats impressive man I used to play on this lesser tour feel free to add me sounds like youre like me if not better I started in CC-C now I am an average player on euro I am MVS85 on STEAM

I knew this week was going to be a tough challenge but WOW! Shot +2 on the 1st round, 2nd round managed to struggle myself to -3 (for the round)...then the 17th green happened....triple bogie. Managed a birdie on 18 for -1. So I'm sitting +1. Going to wait and see how the cut goes before bothering to attempt the 3rd & 4th rounds but not holding my breath on making it. It's a nightmare trying to get the ball to hold the green let alone get close. Well done to those have shot well so far, this course just isn't suiting me.

Well I'm very frustrated and not at the course just 3 lip outs round 2 @slymas decided to call me although he new I was playing my rounds and a bursted a 4 foot putt past the hole as a result. And on 17 a gust of wind turned a perfect shot to end in a 60+ foot putt that I didn't hit hard enough and 3 stabs later a 4 putt for my only dropped shots double bogey 5. -5 -1 -6 after 2 could of been a lot better on to the weekend that just to let you know is harder . Ha ha Moe are you seriously blaming @slymas over missing a putt from 4ft, knowing you it was your own fault as you are always boxing putts at the hole. It looks to me like you had a great first round and were well up there and then you realised it and you choked and poor Hymas is getting the blame Also where is your etiquette man, no mobiles on the golf course

King Kynes Round 3 code at its finest along with every putt that wasn't dead centre missing and a duffed (96%) pitch to boot. to be honest if I was offered -12 after 3 I would of taken it so im Happy. (that is what ive been repeating to myself all day )

Early cut prediction required please.
I was thinking -8 before it started but i have to admit I haven't a clue now. Level par has been mentioned.
Anyone?

My guess would be -5 but -4 might be enough.

I hope you are right. Its gonna be a close one for me. I never expected to make the cut anyway. I can't remember why my second round didn't go so as well as my first. Second round is killing me at the moment. 3rd and 4th rounds are always my strongest rounds for some reason. I may have to stall next week to see what the projected cut is before i tee off.
