Miracles don't happen as often as I'd like them to. I gave it a shot, but a wet ball on 13 took the wind out of my sails and I'm finishing -17. That's actually not a bad score for this one. I think you'll find you're going to do better than you expected.

Just finished my final two rounds with a 65, 67 for my first tournament on TGCTours. Very, very happy with my results to start off, especially on Magnolia =)

Yea, I don't know if it's possible to change but whenever I was playing my practice rounds for Thursday - Sunday the wind was insane (10+ mph every time). So once I hit the insane wind conditions on the Sunday conditions I was very well prepped for it. I probably did 20-25 practice rounds at Magnolia all with those wind conditions.

I think you're going to find you're a lot closer to the line than you think. There are going to be a lot of people over par this week. We now have 59 players reporting and the strike line is still 2 under per round. I may come close. But it's still going to be, at best, another week where I miss by a stroke or two, just like last week on a course I should have eaten for breakfast. I love being right!

Going to be raging at some of these holes for a while, don't miss the green on 7 or 9, it's impossible to stop the ball. Had no fricking xlue what to do when i missed the green on these holes. Augusta is fast but not impossible. Always love playing Augusta though. 70-67-74-77 - E - If it cost me a strike, I'd be annoyed.

Just wanted to get this one over with. Round 1 – 75 Round 2 – 70 Round 3 – 69 Round 4 – 70 Total - 4 under Round 1 I did myself in by getting pissed off on one hole and I started just hitting the ball all over the green. Shot 4 over for the round. Then decided that maybe I cared a little about how I did on this one and gave it a shot the rest of the way. Winds in round 4 are brutal. 15 to 18 mph. One par 4 (510 yards) you will have a 16 mph wind right in your face. Green not makeable in 2. But if you play it right, par is still pretty easy. This will probably be my 2nd strike (this week being my first when it's over) so Red Rock will determine whether or not I stay in C Class or go back down to D where I probably belong anyway. If I never see this miserable course again it won't be too soon. Good luck! I hated the course too when I first started playing but in fact it's a great course. Instead of giving up as you seem to have done you should play it and play it and play it until you score well on it,and learn a lot about this game in the process.

Well, I have miraculously climbed out of the abyss. With one round left to post, I am above the strike line. With my 2 under the last round, which supposedly was the worst, I should stay above it.
I am genuinely stunned.

I am genuinely stunned. I don't think your maths was taking in to account the difficulty of the course, especially the last round. That 70 will be one of the better scores, if it wasn't for your first round you'd be right up there. But that's the beauty of Magnolia, there's scoring to be had but danger lurks everywhere, which means you're never out of it.

Red Rock should be an interesting week to see if maybe everything is finally starting to come together.
