Ok I did a pretty in depth test on my own and confirm there are only three firmness settings. Looks like medium goes to firm around 1 or 2 olclock on the dial. However green speed has an affect on the roll out. Max firmness and max speed rolled out to 58 feet every time on a 7 iron. Max firmness and medium speed rolled out to 47 feet every time and max firmness and slow speed rolled out to 38 feet consistently. So as a designer you can control the roll out on firm greens by adjusting the speed of the green.

So I pulled down pin three to look at the settings and the firmness is right there at the point around 1 or 2 o'clock but must be to the firm side. The putter speed is 176 so this combination has a small bit of impact on the amount of roll out versus what you would get with putter speed 187

So yeah, I guess pin 3 COULD be even more difficult than it is but not by a lot. Shame that HB set the firmness the way they did. Had they done it like the green speeds it would have really been great and offer a lot of variety in the shots. Hopefully, in a future update. Yeah?

The thing that makes round 3 very difficult IMO is the "stickyness" of the green on shots. You can't use the green to bring the ball back to the hole like on most firm courses.

Just had a stand alone round on Pin 3 and that back 9 is a killer. -7 thru 9 and I finish the round in -7. Literally Par-Bogey-Birdie, rinse & repeat.
If we see 15mph winds then I'll happily take a Par round now.
Lovely course mind.

Oh, got a new graphics card today and game plays better than ever. No lag, no graphics tearing, no black screens. It's wonderful. Looking forward to week 21. PS - Based on scores for Drayton, I should be earning my D card as I'm only 5 shots behind top sponsor right now with my 2 best rounds to come. I may even end up in the top 10. Wish me luck.

I'm looking at upgrading myself. I feel the lag and glitches cost me anywhere from 5-7 strokes per tournament minimum.

A toughy without a doubt Wag but definitely feel we need to play these greens more often if we ever want to compete with the big boys. Wasn't it a GTX970 you bought? I bet it looks a treat now! I'd love to play this on a mid-high end PC. There's no doubt it puts the console variations to shame! Oh don't you worry, I have every digit crossed for you sir but I don't think you'll need it. You'll be known as Webtunes in no time the way you're improving!

Actually, the 970 was defective so I picked up a 950 today and put it in. Works great.

I shot a -20 or so for the tour. Pin 3 was the most difficult. Still need to get some practice in before tee time.

If anyone is looking for some challenging practice on Pin 3, its giving 13-15mph winds right now I hit it with those winds and shot 2 or 3 over. Don't remember which. That is the day that will make or break the tournament for me. Shot 8 under for my last tour practice. Hey Tim, I'm a Ranger! LOL

I'm just focusing on pin 3 until the tournament. Its where I'm having most trouble. Can do -7 or better (-11 pn pin 1 once) on the other setups. So just want to get a consistent -5 on pin 3 and I will be happy. Not going to play for the win here anyway, hopefully just an exemption or card. Not sure I will play tomorrow or not (tournament) seem to be a little off last couple days. So may just do some more practice 1'st. Congrats on your rangership. It's cool in that you get to see some other courses that you may not have played or bothered with. I hit it with those winds and shot 2 or 3 over. Don't remember which. Well. I'll take that. And HB took it back when I made two bogeys right after that. Rage quit lol
Man I just haven't been able to find my groove last couple days.
