I ran one up myself...finished -22...won't be enough in A and could very well be a strike for me once it goes live. Don't like this course at all

I just finished yours, didn't mean to burst in unannounced but in scrolling to my tournaments I saw yours in "friends tournaments" and thought what the hell.
Was tied with you all the way to the 18'th hole on round 4 where I laid up, flubbed the flop, missed the 15 foot up hill, missed the 10 foot downhill, came up short on the 3 putt back. Classic Dustin Johnson US Open choke move.
Welcome to rage quit land lol
Managed a -28 in mine. Starting to get a grip on how to play this course. It's hard for me to go from a week plus of practice for a birdie fest course to a course that is tougher. It takes me some mental gymnastics to get into the groove

I'm pretty much content to shoot par on this one. I just can't seem to get a handle on it. Makes me almost wish I don't get my D Card this week. I'd rather play this one in E Class than D Class.
Either way, this is going to be a real migraine.
Oh, shot 26 under at Drayton. Don't know if it'll be good enough to earn my card but we'll see.

Nah don't say that, get your card if you do, be happy and play your best. This course will be a face ripper for most so you may think you will suck but may very well surprise yourself. Maybe thats what is catching me up, I am definitely finding I need a different sort of mindset for it. I've gone from -16's to -mid 20's so I know I'll adapt to it, it will be like Fossmill for me, will have to keep playing over and over then just play to my strengths come tournament. Which is letting my putting save my ass lol ]I don't like how this course plays...don't find it overly tough at all..I just don't think it flows very well.

Tim I rage quit yours in the 4th round. The 7th hole is going to be my undoing in this tournament

I can't remember which is the 7'th. There is one that I club down to the 5 wood off the tee, no matter what because of a bunker in the fairway. Not the 1'st I can manage that one. I'll have note of it tomorrow when I'm on and see what I do.
But feel free to restart as many times as you see fit, I'll be doing the same lol.
edit to add
I'd go look now but am eagerly awaiting a panzarotti lol

ahh yeah ok.
If I remember that one right I think I go with the club it gives me and love up two full bars and hope it stops on the green usually I think I wind up going long and play for the chip and pray for par. I'll have to take special note of tomorrow now, I don't think I've been consistently successful with any way I go at it.

Tim. I just finished your setup (was playing live with Jim) and despite a 7 under in round 2, only finished 4 under for the 4 rounds. Greens kill me on this course. One hole (don't remember which one) if you're under the hole on the fairway trying to flop onto the green, DON'T! The incline brings the ball straight back down the green into the fringe. You have to chip and hit it as hard as you can. I triple bogie'd that hole.
It all comes down to putting on this one for me. If I get hot, I can do well. If not, I'm lucky to make par.
Well. I've got a whole week to practice this beast.

I would have never thought Hiwassee Hills could generate so much controversy but that just tells me it is a job well done. If a course creates a good debate then I think it must be a good one. I thought while building it that it was a pretty easy course with greens that are pretty much just like some real courses I play in the non virtual world.
Just wait guys this course will be destroyed by the A and B CC guys.
