Not to take away from you other great folks who set these up. Always appreciated that you do. I feel the more the merrier, gives us different winds to practice on. Yeah I know this week just started, but I'm bored and already played my rounds so no official golf left to play.
I've setup a practice tour on next weeks course. It will be in Tournaments this time since the multi-pin thread doesn't list it as a multi pin event. Which is cool, I like the tournament commentary better. lol
Called
CC17-Practice
Just search for CC17, makes it easy and should pop right up.
PC-PS4-XBOX1
There are probably winds. Haven't done any play on it yet so don't know.
Feel free to restart/reroll if having a bad round, I don't care. I'll reroll a dozen or more times myself. lol

And apparently I'm an idiot.
I created this using the "create competition" link on the main menu, then selected the course 4 times, which put it in "Tours"..so you can find it in the tour section.
But since I can't stand mistakes, I went and created another properly which is in its proper place "Tournaments" same names, search didnt want to bring that one up but you can find it in the 'new" section of tournaments, just page over to the right.

There's no difference I assume, you create the competition and the game defines automatically if it's a tour (various courses) or a tournament (same course several times).
Btw, I don't like the course. But it's a very interesting change of pace. Will have to stay strong with it

Well, I gave this one a shot. Very easy course but my game is so horribly off right now it doesn't matter. Shot 6 over all because almost every drive off the tee hooked severely. I don't know whether it's my controller, a change in the software or what, but I am having the most impossible time driving the ball straight. This is going to make my sponsor exemption week pretty much useless.
How do you go from shooting 28 under to not being able to drive the ball straight?

You can set it as a tournament if you pick the course once then select amount of rounds. I have one of each set up, shot -31 in the Tournament, and jeez I cant remember already and I just finished, -30. And thats not putting a lot of care into it, just powering through. Jim smoked me with a -36 in the Tournament setup. This course is a birdie fest for sure. Can't wait till tougher ones come up in rotation though. I fare better. As for the course, I think it could be a masterpiece if it wasn't for the theme. I just as a personal preference don't like that Flintstones look. The planting, retaining walls, bridges are second to none. Some of the holes are pure fun to play. 11'th, warning to all, be short of the pin, if you land right or left of the pin you have one hell of a breaking putt to contend with. I predict a hole in one this week and maybe double eagle. came close a few times. lol There's no difference I assume, you create the competition and the game defines automatically if it's a tour (various courses) or a tournament (same course several times). Btw, I don't like the course. But it's a very interesting change of pace. Will have to stay strong with it

I can't seem to get any lower than -36...gonna need a lot more than that. I think you're gonna need 4 rounds around -10 and -40 total just to compete for a top 10. This one is gonna be like aiming for the bull on a dart board. Birdiefest!!

Just finished the practice tour for this.
Round 1 - 7 under Round 2 - 9 under Round 3 - 9 under Round 4 - 6 under
31 under for the tournament.
In Class E, which is where I'm going to be next week after I ultimately lose my exemption, this will probably be good enough for top 20%, maybe. Not sure because it's a very easy course.
So why weren't my scores better?
Too many 20 ft putts. I have to start getting closer to the pin on my approach shots. I made a number of them but I can't rely on them. This could have easily been 10 under had many of those putts not gone. For me, anything over 4 feet is not a gimme. And with the majority of my putts over 10 ft, you just can't keep living like that. Eventually it catches up to you like it did in round 4 where, if I could just get closer to the pin on the approach, I should have shot 10 under easily. In fact, I should have shot 40 under for the tournament without breaking a sweat. But my approach shots are just not accurate enough.
Okay, why?
In a nutshell, I'm too lazy to do the math on the wind and elevation to the degree where I can pick the right club, just the right amount of loft and just the right number of clicks away from the pin (on east/west winds) Right now, I do it pretty much by feel. Until I do the math and take a good 5 minutes per hole instead of 2 minutes per hole, I'm never going to be any better than I am now and will never get out of E class. And that's not going to happen because this is a game and I don't sit down to do math for playing a game.

I predict a hole in one this week and maybe double eagle. came close a few times. lol In my defense I did predict it lol Had a smoking practice tournament on Jim's CCw17. Finished -43 <---that translates to -25 in the real tournament.

put a little tweak in how I position the controller when I putt. I have a tendency to pull a lot of putts. Little tweak...and I just shot my PB on this course and lowest round ever on TGC
-15(58)
