And I'm struggling to "find" this course. Can't beat my own -4.... Just backed up my -15 with a -11 in 10-15mph winds

J/K, great shooting!! If this little "tweak" turns out to be a difference maker in my putting game I will be more than delighted to have finally put a finger on the pulse of what has been causing my poor putting. If this easy "fix" is the answer...I'm actually a bit embarrassed I didn't notice it sooner. I changed the positioning up part way through a round..and proceeded to go 10 under for the final 13 holes. Then I shot the 58...followed by the 62. So hopefully the band-aid doesn't fall off any time soon

Nice shooting. Just once I want to relive this score in tournament. Way back last May in the old now defunct Champions A tier. -51 won that one lol. I ended up 20'th.

I scored -32 in my first shot at the practice tournament. Lots of lucky shots! I believe the scores are going to be very low in the official tournament!

Coincidentally this happens when I have one to many drinks while playing haha. Putting though I could be sober and I still wouldn't be able to get that little white bastard in the hole

Played the CCW17 Tune up on XB1 and first round shot a 62, -11. Played well enough however had a couple of putts missed and had a one bogey and one double bogey.
The 11th I think, par 3. Green caught me out big time. I think short of the pin is where we want to be? I was right hand side and a big right to left sloping downhill putt. Apart from that this is a big birdie fest
I also expect a hole in one and some double Eagles.

Putting though I could be sober and I still wouldn't be able to get that little white bastard in the hole I was "burning the edge" on far too many putts...even 5-7 footers. I knew something was off but didn't realize it was an easy fix to just manipulate the controller by angling it slightly when I putt. I don't have the issue on approach shots and off the tee as much...minimal at best. I still hit a draw..but I can compensate with the draw/fade options. I'm still ironing out the kinks..but since I switched it up a bit on my putting my worst round has been -7. Courses like this irritate me though because the tournaments become birdie fests and the "true" cream doesn't rise to the top. I'd like to see the same course but the slow green speeds are an absolute joke. I feel around the 160-170 range is best for CC. It makes you be more precise and think more about every shot. I almost find myself picking trouble spots on the greens in practice just to play every possibility...one shouldn't have to do that...but I find it necessary just in case we get a round with 15-20 mph winds come the live tournament.

Thats why I was going to withdraw from this event. But with February being a moving month I can't afford to miss any events if I want to move up. I don't consider myself the cream but I'm a better player on the tougher courses. Sure I can do the birdie fest courses and shoot -10 or better, but when I shoot -7 on a tough course thats gratifying. And I usually wind up better in the standings on the harder courses. Look at where I'm sitting on the LB now, 6'th place, will drop some, but next week, I'll be in the 30's I played 2 rounds on the new Magnolia National Tour setup yesterday trying to beat my -3, came in with a -6, then jumped right to St George, I couldn't play the course lol, the greens were like putting on glue lol. So many putts I came up way way short, had myself conditioned for super fast breaking greens then to go from that extreme to the other end of the spectrum I just couldn't cope. Closed game lol Courses like this irritate me though because the tournaments become birdie fests and the "true" cream doesn't rise to the top. Closed game lol This is also an issue I have. I'm enjoying CC..but also play in the Match Play League for PC and I am about to start up on the RRCC Tour. I just can't "do" the slower greens with any consistency. If I play a course with greens in the 170 range and score -5 to -7...I'm elated. If I shoot -12 on a course like St George with 138 green speed...I'm like "meh...anyone can shoot that here". I was happy with my -15(58)...but I really felt it should have been -18 or better. The greens at St George are like putting on shag carpet.
