Well gang I figure I'll start the D thread seeing as A. I'm sitting on the last exemption spot and don't expect to remain there B. If I do get exempt I will be here next week again anyway If you remember earlier in the week I pegged my goal as anywhere from -16 to -20 Good news?...I hit that goal Bad news?...I suck Follow my ghost in round 3 for a good laugh. You will see every possible bad break that can happen to someone while playing this game..accumulated into 1 round. 62-67-73-67
-19
good luck boys!!!

After two rounds, very mixed sensations, the first round went nicely, and a nice 63 looked a very good point to start the tournament. After six holes in the 2nd round, i was +3. A great tee shot on the 9th gave me the first birdie, and after that, i managed to come back to -1, to finish with a disgusting 71

Nope..lol Tried a different approach to my game today. Never looked at this thread until after I played. No ghosts, no looking at the leader board either between holes or rounds. Messed up there, I clicked though getting my score card on round 1, I knew I was -6 so wasn't hard to do the math. 72 minus 6 = I suck 66-65-69-71 <--wtf happened here. Took a bit to catch up a couple bogies, actually 3 and wound up 3 over early in the round, by time I did, I ran out of holes. -17 I suck points and lost another exemption. Think I'm going to buy Rock Simulator, I can't possibly lose at that game, all you do is stare at a rock.

My controller has decided to flake out on me. I can't get it to shoot straight no matter what I do. Will probably be withdrawing from this and future tournaments until I either get a new controller or get this one sorted out.

I feel a pattern coming on. I avoided bogeys in a decent round one again this week. This got me to a respectable -6 (heck, I'm ecstatic with a -6). That should mean it's all downhill from here, which looks like the pattern for those who have played the tourney already! I'll still play rounds 2-4, though. Just in case. UPDATE: Sure enough, +1 in round 2! Update 2: Finished -- 66, 73, 68, 73 (-8 overall) ..... How did you guys like the course? I always find it tough when I have to pick less club on my drive to avoid overshooting the fairway, and this this course had a number of those shots. Also, there were plenty of winding fairways guarded by lots of sand. I felt like I could easily face a disastrous round on this course if I play my shots just right (wrong). It was a fun course to play. On a scale of 1 to 2, I give it a 2.

After a -28 last week I finished with an asstastic -4. I decided to play with the ghosts on when I do not usually which may have thrown me off. My grips are also worn down to flat and I can feel slipping causing my putting track to be off and under hits. Time to go to Game Stop for some replacements. At least I am not going anywhere for two more tournaments since I made the exemption last week.

update: missed out on an exemption by 1 stroke. That makes 3 tournaments in a row missing the exemption by 2 strokes or less. Last 3 finishes...T12,T13,T11..but here's the kicker...had I got the exemption last week(missed by 1 stroke)..my score this week would have earned me my CC-C card.

I'm re-posting this from the now CC-A thread.
**************************************************** Well, I am some serious need of help. I just played the practice tour again and shot 18 over. I carefully watched the joystick on every shot to make sure it was going up straight and with very few instances, all straight shots still hooked left. Something is wrong with my XBox 360 controller or something has happened to the software or something has gone wrong with my hands. But when you're that careful and still can't drive straight something is not right.
I'm going to buy a new XBox 360 controller tomorrow if Best Buy is open. We were hit with a major snow storm around here. I'm going to give that a shot first and then try a new graphics card. After that, I don't know what else to do but I can't play the game as it is now.
My exemption week couldn't have come at a worse time. I am certain to finish dead last in D Class if I can't drive the ball straight.
Needless to say, this is very frustrating. **********************************************

Why do I still have a strike? I finished 7th last week in Class E. Shouldn't that have gotten rid of my one strike?

Why do I still have a strike? I finished 7th last week in Class E. Shouldn't that have gotten rid of my one strike? I wondered about that. I got a strike in the chubbs tourney, then finished 89th in Beirut so should have had another. I didn't get one so kept quiet! But finished 21st last week so it / they should have gone if I understand it correctly. Think the strikes aren't being set / reset for some reason maybe with all the changes coming through.

I'm kind of at a loss for any help for you since our previous discussion in another thread you said you tried everything. But since you seem to be getting ignored in both threads. I'll offer a little suggestion. How do you connect to the internet? Is it wireless router/modem? Have you tried rebooting them? I only suggest this because in a tournament a few weeks ago I was having some internet issues, the loading between rounds took forever on one time. Then when I was playing, went to take my putt, very short putt, i hit it as I normally would and the ball shot off the putter, and rocketed past the hole, the avatar animation was somewhat jerky at times. I even vented about that episode here in one of the tournament threads. I never connected my internet issue to my golf swing at the time, well I did, but didn't put much stock into the idea, but found I have to reboot my modem (which has a wireless router in it) about once a week. And have gotten into the habit of doing on tournament days. I have no clue if any of this is of any help or if its even relevant, if a shoddy net connection can affect the swing like that or not. Also, 360 controller, how is the cord? I raged once in tournament (whats new lol) and just plunked my controller down, well the cable was already wearing and when I picked it back up my swing was a little off, and laggy and even non responsive. I switched the cord and all was fine again. I'm using an Xbox 1 controller, wired to pc btw I'm re-posting this from the now CC-A thread. **************************************************** Well, I am some serious need of help. Finally, out of frustration and pure disgust, I completely changed my technique off the drive. I won't go into details as far as what I did. Let's just say it is a complete 180 from the way I used to do it. Oh, I also lowered all the settings in game to improve FPS. Anyway, pull up Willows course 3 and take a look at my last ghost ball for the 18 holes. 9 under. My best on any of these courses by a ton. I'm going to play the practice tour one last time both in low and high settings with my new swing (which is actually more true to golf like) and see if I'm consistent. If I am, I'm going to tackle this tour in a day or so. I just have to make sure I have my game back together. If by some miracle this change in technique is the last piece of the puzzle for my game, I promise you, I will be a force to be reckoned with in the Challenge Circuit. I can't believe how easy that round just was. Will report back later on.
