I would be a massive fan of the 1 box rule also no ghost balls in tournament play but that's just me, you wanna call it a true golf sim then for example de-lofting a lob wedge to 250% to get you out of heavy rough isn't a shot that should be in the game, lofting up 3 irons to the max to decrease rollout etc, also getting to watch 3 peoples shots before you take your own every single time isn't very realistic, I get it, everyone has the same ability to use the shots but then don't call it a true golf sim, these things aren't available to you in real golf.

I think the lofting is something we should all get behind and press HB on, it needs to go.

That is pretty stupid lol. Iv never lofted up clubs like that. Maybe thats why i havent won for so long, might have to jump on the bandwagon lol. Driving range here i go! Hate doing it tbh but it was literally the only way i could stop it anywhere near the pin. Think I had 7 yards to land in, was playing onto a red slope with an 11mph tailwind. Game needs either firm to be less firm and/or wedges/short irons to have a bit more grab. Not holding my breath though Not slating you at all pal, poor course selection, poor loft system, its going to happen.

Rd1 -11 Rd2 -6 4 behind Sweeney. (On Ps4, right now) He's good. thanks bud, nice shooting
finished up my tournament yesterday and didn't loft up a club more than hitting a 3 iron about 190 instead of 207 my score was more from putting than hitting lofted shots in to greens, on set ups like this theres no way u can be close on every shot some greens were impossible to stop on let alone get close, feel its more about how many 15-40 feet putts u hole more than lofting every club up 2 get it close
finished my tournament -11 -10 -7 -10 total -38

If anyone ever wondered why u was referred to as 'the machine' look no further. -38 round this event is mighty impressive.

I went and played his ghost ball on PS4 and his putting is what makes him the machine. Makes everything and they always go in the centre.

My problem with this course is it was purposely tricked up to what I felt was unreasonable and unrealistic levels. This may end up being the norm because the game is so easy for those elite players something needs to be done, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm not a fan of a pin being tucked behind a bunker, having the green slope front to back AND having it be a par 3 where you are using a longer club. There were par 3s that you could not stop the ball on the green anywhere near the hole. Okay people say, great shoot to the center, have a longer putt. I hear ya and there were greens like #8 that offered that option. The problem then becomes that the hole is placed a top Mount TGC Trail and you have to hit a 45-60 foot putt perfectly, up hill 2 feet, stop it within 2 grids or you end up rolling back at your feet or off the green the other way. Holes like these you would be stupid to play your tee shot to stay on the green because of the shot I just described. It is far better to play long or to the right and flop up for your second, a much more higher percentage shot, but completely unrealistic. For me this would have been a good course with medium firmness because the greens were so undulated that putting still would be a challenge, much like courses like the Stadium Course and Magnolia. Of course if we get 4 rounds of light wind then the course would be destroyed but there were a couple rounds where i was shooting into a 16mph wind, which believe it or not HELPED me on these firm greens as I was able to stop a 3iron 2 feet from the the pin after only 2 grids roll. I hope HB can get that extra setting or two between medium and hard firmness.

Well -5 for two rounds for me. Don't know if that is good enough to play the weekend.
On to the TST until I know my fate.
Good luck!

Whatever I try, I just can get my putts/round somewhere close to 20. More like 25-30 lately. I'm always close, but miss so often on the edge that it hurts. And I'm constantly making mistakes within pitching distance (<75y). Damn it! Started with 64 (-7) and 68 (-3). Couldn't get any momentum, especially in Rd2.

I just need something to let me read the putts better.

I was hanging with Ian for like... six holes in round 2. Totally shocked.
I couldn't get anything going on the back 9. I was 4 or 5 under at the turn in both rounds and stumbled home.

I think the lofting is something we should all get behind and press HB on, it needs to go. Didn't Anthony mention recently that it was one of the things he wanted to sort out? Pretty sure he did, and I can only hope it happens in the next update due around March. Edit - yep, he did: To me this claim from HB Studios seems hilarious. With all due respect. You can't compare all the swing issue we had with the "loft thing". The swing problems were (and ARE) an ISSUE caused by not testing enough/bad programming/whatever....meanwhile the possibility to loft is something added consciously in the game by the devs. Are they gonna tell that they couldn't imagine someone sooner or later will eventually figure it out how to effectively use that? What was then the purpose of the "loft bar" to begin with? And they wanna get rid of a feature "to make the game harder for the pro's"? What kind of BS is that? The "pro's" are pro's cause they've spent hours practicing and learning the game...you can't change it just like that cause "they're too good". Ian, Bradley, Tom, Scott, Griffin and a lot of TOP 50 guys are extremely good at putting: you know what? let's change the putting completely so all the effort they put will be useless. Is this the way the community wants this game to evolve?? Lofter or non-Lofter this is NOT how you support you videogame. At least IMHO. I mean...it's like if in Street Fighter at some point Capcom would have removed all the fireballs attack causes "the pro's are just too good at zoning with fireballs...let's make the game harder for them" WTF?!
