A lot of undeserved criticism for the course here. Yuchi Valley has a couple of weak points but it's a solid course. Was on the RGT last season without any complaints... Good variety and does require a bit of thinking.
Go play the ratel and harbour pointe and toughen up a bit, folks. This is supposed to mimic tournament golf. ;-)

I tend to see a lot a rule of thumb which I don't share at all. Easy = good. That's wrong. Yuchi is a superb course. For sure, sunday pins are hard, but look at the scores for last round in all the flights. There are lots of guys going low. Luck? I don't think so. This game gives us a good amount of options to modify our shots, so we don't need to pin-hunt every golf course, because sometimes it simply is not an option. Yes, I completely fuc*ed up my tourney on sunday, but there are options out ther.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course, made you think about which way you wanted to play certain holes, rather than just blasting the driver off the tee. Which is something we're all going to be doing at Firestone. The odd errant shot got punished, and that's how it should be, I took an 8 at the 18th in my 2nd round, purely because my 2nd shot was 92% and not 100%, spoiled what should've been an excellent round.

My intention was to create a golf course that challenges the players skills without unrealistic narrow fairways or unreachable pin placements. I realize that the Sunday pins are tough but this causes players to plan their shots carefully and sometimes scramble a bit to prove their competency with approaches, chips/flops, putts and course management. My apologies to those who deemed this an unfair test. I have never considered my course to be of the same caliber as some of the top designers but I do think my course is unique and a tough but fair test of players skills in all aspects of their game.

I'm a very ordinary CC-C player who never finished in the Top 10 on that flight before this week. I finished the week at -26 including -6 on the supposedly impossible Sunday pins. If I can do that the course is perfectly fine.

Course was awesome. I loved the design and challenge. Im upset I spent 2 weeks practicing and then didnt even get my tourney rounds in!!! Total mismanagement of time on my part.
