Well...I should be in CC-C on exemption..but that said..I'll start this discussion as I'll be right back in D next week for Q-school. Yep..you guessed it..choked again.
I just couldn't find my rhythm on this course despite some nice practice rounds. It just didn't play to my strengths and I struggled big time because of that. Totally imploded in the final round.
Winds:
10-15mph 8-12mph 5-10mph 6-15mph(only real gust I had)
65-66-68-73
-16 total
good thing I'm on exemption cuz I don't even think that will earn me a top 70. Just brutal

Whoa, not what I expected from you. I was thinking in mid -30's Just couldn't get anything going...the course didn't play well for me at all...I play better at Denali which is a lot tougher. I was 13 under after 2 rounds...but just couldn't find a rhythm even with 2 solid rounds. It always seems the courses that are on the easier side play mind games with me.

Some of the pin placements on Rds 3 & 4 are absolutely disgusting haha, right at the front of the green with the fairway being like rock, seems like that the way its set up for most long par 4s. Makes it insanely hard to get it close, hitting a 4 Iron or whatever onto a area about 3 yards infront of the pin and hope its stops or play it short into the fairway and pray O.O

I was hoping you could stick around on CC-C. Don't know how it will shake out as it is way early, but even if you are back into CC-D next week, it looks like you will have added to your trophy case and you will have another shot next week. Next week has the auto-promotions. I always recommend to practice Canuck's courses more than you do others as the greens are usually deceptively tough.

I've been practicing tons on this course and haven't been able to do better than 6 under. Most rounds are 3 or 4 under and one round I imploded (It was the Sunday pin) and shot 5 over. I hope this isn't a taste of things to come. Course seems like it should be easy and yet there are a few holes that give me fits and I end up in the back of the green in the rough. I guess those pin positions are pretty brutal.
Well, hoping to stick around in E class with what looks like my first top 30 finish but who knows. With 2 demotion strikes I feel like I'm walking a tight rope lined with TNT.
Jim, I have faith that you'll bounce back next week.

If it makes you feel any better, I designed the course and only shot -11.

If it makes you feel any better, I designed the course and only shot -11. It's a great design..some quirky holes but otherwise flows well. I was averaging -5 to -9 in practice but I just couldn't get into a groove when I played the tournament..and I felt it in round 2. I really should have stepped away and played the other 2 rounds at a later time. I was -13 after 2 rounds so the potential was there to score not too bad. I just imploded in round 4. All I can hope for is a top 70 and within 10 strokes of the top exemption.

Well, a tricky little so n so course it is too! I'm headed to the tee right now ... I'm in cc-b ... But this is the only thread open at the moment. And the Designer here too! Nice! Any tips,. Projections on top ten for cc-B? Think I shot -8 or so in practise . From what I saw.. 3 wood is a smart choice off a few tricky tee shots. Lotsa teasers out there.. Begging you to pull a Roy Mcavoy .. N before you know it.. You hit your last ball in the water.. N Cheech (romio). Has dumped you to caddy for ..Don Johnson.

Here's the only hint I will give....do not assume on every hole where you think you can use driver that you can use driver.

Well mr Levine! I'm 3 rounds in.. And -20 (3rd on Xbox at moment) Let's just say it's been a grind - shall we!! There were 3 times I used a swear word in close proximity to your name! 1) a hole where I nestled up near a rock.. And couldn't get it over it causing a scrambling bogey 2) 18 hole I thought hit a nice 3 wood only to land in that little bit of heavy rough off left (just right of the bunker).. Scrambling a bogey having to pitch out short of water. 3) and that sneaky par 5 16th or 15th... I ran into the rough? .. At end of fairway, and had no shot over the water. Of course I tried.. But a bogey then too!! Grr I'm enjoying this course even though I can't keep driver in the cone! Which makes this track blooming scary. There are some clever risk reward holes out there. But a wrong move n your %^**ed! 3rd round should have been -11 under but ended up -8 due to the mentioned above... And a missed 2 footer in the shadows where I lost concentration of my backswing n ran it over the hole!!! Grrrr Headed into 4th round now.. I think I need a -12/13/15 kinda round. But knowing my luck.. Winds will be blowing +30 ! Lol Great fun course. Even if I did use swear words and ur name in the same sentence.... And I need to adjust my driver... Again!

If it makes you feel any better, I designed the course and only shot -11. Dammit Irving - I was going to donate 3 dollars for every shot you were under par (carefully calculated)... Still will but it would have been more fun if you knew it when you played and I could get some more people on board... Anyways - great initiative and I hope it gets a lot of money.

-6 under last round total -26 .. Well gotta hope this course lulls people into a false sense of security.. It's pretty tight in places .. N good night Romeo if your in the rough. So u never know. Really enjoyed this track.. Even with bad scores.. I think it really scared me off the tee.. I liked it? ?

As a distinctly average player on PGA tour, I'm amazed by some of the play on the CC tours. I'd struggle to compete in this arena!
A nice course for an exceptional cause. #showusyourbelly
