I know I'm just a poor "CC-E" player but as my friends Jim & Martin will never visit the "E" thread (that basically does not exist) I decided to chime in to let them know that I'm -9 after 2 rounds (solid rounds -4 & -5). My goal is -17 I will play the last 2 rounds later during the week. Take care Roberto I will be in CC-E fairly soon Roberto, because I can have under par rounds in practice but when it comes to tourney's then it all changes. Of all the tourney's I've played I only had 1 or 2 rounds under par, so I'm not expecting to be in CC-D for much longer lol.

Shot 3 and 4 under all week on this course and yet couldn't do better than 1 under and had two rounds over par. I tense up and that joystick goes all over the place. LOL.

Back up to the CC-D on an exemption. Just finished Round 1 with a 66. As per usual, I left so many putts short (very slow greens it seems for putting). Should have been about an 7-8 under. Was saved on the last shot of the day thanks to this LONG hole out:

My two cents... (I was in CC-Z 3 weeks ago so these are not "gold" cents ) I realized that mindset is the biggest part of this game, at least for me. I now play for par and pick birdies opportunities. My putting game is far from perfect so I know that I can have better scores if my approach game is (at least) good. Before starting the tournament I practice especially to see how the greens react when the ball land. Once in tournament I use maths to calculate wind, roll and elevation the best I can. Than depending from the pin location I decide on how to approach it. At first is a little time consuming but scoring regularly under par is a great reward and the more I play this way the faster I go down the holes. You can use the ghosts as an idea but basically you don't have enough info on the ghost shot...you will see how it lands but you don't know if the "say" 140 yds to the pin were covered with a slightly lofted 8i, with a lofted 7i or a much more lofted 4i (and the landing is completely different). Last little stupid thing: I play no more than 2 rounds together (I usually start with 3/4 practice holes) and If I see that I'm not playing my "par" game I stop playing and rejoin later, agaion after a few practice holes. Practicing live together for 30 minuts and chatting over the mic is a much bigger help than 2/3 hours of solo game. Take care and don't give up !!! Roberto

Roberto Have to agree with everything you said Roberto, quite a lot of my approach shots were around 10 - 20 away feet but my putting let me down big time.

Played this for fun and shot -40 even with a brutal -6 in the third round. Pins and greens are tough, but the soft greens make it fair. Good stuff. Enjoyed going up against your ghost ball. You played a couple of great shots last round! Thanks, Rob! Looking forward to seeing how we do this week on tour. Best of luck to you and I'll keep my eye out! You've been besting me the past few weeks.

You literally need to birdie to stay in the game each week! Enjoyed the CC tour this week. All for a great cause too.

You got me by 1 first round - missed quite a few within 10ft! Better showing for round 2. Was giving strong consideration to going down a flight but don't think id fair any better there!!

Well. Didn't score well enough on my exemption to stay in CC-D but not bad overall: 66-68-64-67 for a -23 altogether. Hopefully I will find my way back to CC-D but for now back to the CC-E grind.
