Practicing round 3. First time -6 second -15... This is what I mean about consistency LOL Such a fun game. Only this time I'm NOT going to play my round immediately after playing a great practice round. Experience tells me I will shoot about 1/2 what I did on the great round. LOL.

Finished up at -44. Had at least 10 putts lip out. Some that should've dropped in from the high side, and even a couple that looked like they hit center cup. Also had some that should've missed on the low side, but somehow wound up in the hole... very odd to say the least.

Well I completely choked away the right to play on the weekend. I shot a mediocre -7 for round one, so I put it all on the line in round 2. And it was a beautiful round. -8 through the front 9.. got it to -13 after 16. I was hitting everything with a 12/6 swing. Tee shots were right in the middle of the green, approach shots were scaring the flagsticks. After a par at 17, I was sitting at -20 for the tournament. I started getting a bit cocky & arrogant. Thinking I had the weekend in the bag. Then the tee shot on 18. I came forward at about, oh, 10-o-clock. Snap, duck hook into the left woods. Settled right behind a bush, with big overhanging trees right behind it. I had no shot. 2 punch-outs, and a double bogey later, I miss the cut by 1. Absolutely disgusted with myself. Completely ruined a great round.
Never take this game for granted, kids. The golf gods will humble you very quickly, and mercilessly. See you guys next week..

Im in at -55 after 4 rnds. Prob wont be gud enough if Mr May continues his destruction of the course over his last 2 rnds or someone puts up a massive last rnd. Happy with my week either way.

Need a marshall ruling on #10 round 2.....its the drivable par 4.....with the front pin (which like a dumbass I didn't notice before I drove)....so I go over the ridge to the back of the green 113ft putt 4 feet uphill.....I know it isnt possible to reach on a 141 speed green but my line was not interrupted to the hole except for the 4 foot wall of green ridge (thanks Bomber)....I was scoring well and didn't want to DQ myself so I putted anyway full backswing pushed the aim marker as far as it would go slammed the stick forward as fast as I could (not that it matters) and made it 3'-11" up the hill aaaand back down the hill.....luckily it rolled off the side of the green onto the fringe and I got up and down for PARogey. Not sure if that pin is used again in Rd 3 or 4? Could I have chipped/flopped?? since it was mathematically impossible to reach the pin I say it would have been ok? I know it was my fault for leaving myself that putt and that is the RISK/reward for driving the green but in real life I (well, not me but a PGA Pro) could have putted and reached the hole, in the game i couldn't.....

I have asked this exact question multiple times and the answer usually was to me, "You obviously didn't hit the ball at full power." To which I would explain I do know what a full putt is and then it is pretty much, "You're SOL." Sadly, in the previous season there were several courses where there were some holes like this. The rule is you can't putt on the green unless it is obstructed by something other than green. I'd love to see it changed to a specific distances but what can you do?

Just doing the math 113+48+at least another 24= 185ft which is much greater that 141ft so mathematically not possible....

If no obstructions you must putt. I've seen twitch feeds of others in the same spot and they've all putt the ball. Unfortunate that this happens from time to time (putter won't go far enough) but it's a rule we're sticking by and enforcing. I'll bring it up with Admin to see if there's something we can add to this but it wouldn't be introduced until the start of a fresh tournament if approved.

I actually considered intentionally putting off the green so that is the play next time.....cause if that first putt rolled back to my feet, instead of catching the fringe, i would have flopped and been DQd......
