After my putting in round two I think I deserved them. Also it's insane for me to hole out twice in one round considering I almost never hole out.

R1: 61 (-10) R2: 57 (-14) R3: 56 (-15) R4: 60 (-11)
Total: -50
Shaky first round but flew through the next 2. But then had my one and only bogey (which was lucky) on the last round. Managed a hole-out eagle on 16 to salvage a decent score.

Geez.. gonna have to go really low just to make the cut. It's currently at -17 w/ 2 days to go. I'll be getting my rounds in tomorrow night after I get off work.

-22 thru 2 and felt like I played about average. I think (pretty confident) the cut will be -19. The course is completely defenseless in single digit winds. I'm not a fan of this style of tournament on the top tour.

You guys are bloody good! I've just played my second PGA tournament and finished -11 after 2 rounds so I've missed the cut by a country mile. How some of you go -15 for ONE round beggars belief! In fairness I probably gave away a good 5-6 strokes in each of the two rounds so I know an -11 /-12 round was possible if I played out of my skin but how you do it round in and round out is beyond me! I guess that's what separates the men from the boys though.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to play TGC so I go straight into the tournament without any practice. I've noticed when watching a few of you guys on Twitch you like to club up a few irons on approach shots and use loft, which I guess is intended to reduce the roll of the ball when it lands on the green. For those of you that use this method, do you find it really helps as there's nothing worse when you feel you've played the perfect approach and land a few yards short of the hole only for the ball to roll a further 10 yards?

Alot of complaints about how "easy" the course is playing. While id accept its easier than the average course we play on this tour i think its important we do get to play courses like this every now and again.
If we all played courses like cuyahoga & empyreal hills every week it wud get boring and frustrating every week.
The wind is quite low this wk so far so its playin a bit easier than it cud of. Im fine wit the wind being low as long as its the same for everyone.
The PGA/euro tour shud and imo does test every part of ur game over the course of the season, so courses like these are needed.

For those of you that use this method, do you find it really helps as there's nothing worse when you feel you've played the perfect approach and land a few yards short of the hole only for the ball to roll a further 10 yards? Yes it helps but it comes with some risk. 1. its very precise and even a pixel can be yards, 2 the miss can be bigger than normal. With that said watching the good guys, they dial in every detail precisely. That takes some dedication to the nuances of the game and elevates them above the pack. Then there is their putting, that's something I find utterly magical. Those boys are good.
IMHO HBS needs to limit the shot shaper to 1 bar in all directions. Guys are able to completely counteract the wind to the precise foot making wind almost useless as a course defense. I don't find the draw and fade to counteract the wind that precise to be at all realistic. I figured that out, I have used it, but I hate doing it so seldom do. The game is so good, but could be better in a few areas. The dialed in pitch shots where wind plays almost no factor on distance, but wind having a huge sideways movement on chips, some greens impossible to read all need fixed. The flop having less wind effect than a pitch, etc etc. Really wish, even though the game is so good, they would give some focus to these issues, because it would take this game beyond a level of good and elevate it far from the other guys.

A truly puketastic opening round of 62 (-9) scuppered my chances of competing this week. I couldn't make any putts. Rd 2 was slightly better, but again, a couple of errant misses. I battled back to a degree during Rd 3 and 4 to finish with a -46.
