I've played this a few times, but never fully finished the course because of having to leave and/or frustrated.
In the few times I've played it, I thought the course was pretty weak... the greens are pretty crazy and if there is going to be high winds on this course... game over.
I'm interested in hearing others thoughts on this course that will be played for Week 3 on the Web tour.

Love it so far, a much better test than Red October was. Web tour should start to introduce some difficult courses with firm/fast conditions like this one. I agree it'll be harder to score, but I much prefer grinding out 4 67's than shooting 60-60-60 and losing because you shoot 64 in the final round (though I still think the winning score here will be about -38 or so). A few tough pins in there but again, play a PGA course and you'll appreciate the break we get on the web.
I think the biggest hurdle will come in that this course is just different, and players will have to adjust for that. Compared to this week's course and most CC courses (slow greens, soft fairways), this course feels like a different game altogether.

But there is better ways to make the course harder than slope-y greens

Yeah, I would say that's what the firm and fast greens and fairways are about. I'm gonna fire this course up when I get home here, because I've played it 4 times and haven't even noticed the greens as anything but ordinary. Maybe we're hitting different parts of the green...but, I've seen it as all pretty standard for a web/pga/tst course...just faster surfaces.

I agree, actually thought the greens were easier than the last couple of courses... although since I never hit the fairway on this course, I never hit the green in regulation either so didn't have to deal with long putts.
My biggest problem with the course is that there is almost no "light rough". Don't mind the fact that the fairways are super tight, but if you happen to just miss and roll off a fairway, you're in heavy rough right away.

GOOD POINT ON THE NO "LIGHT ROUGH"... Yes... it's a b%& if you don't hit the fairways...

It's a fantastic course. I've played it a couple of times and average around -7 on my rounds. It's a thinker and planner's course, you need to breath on each shot and read the fairways and greens otherwise you can easily lose the ball into a the rough, or having it flying off the green.
There's 3 or 4 exceptionally tricky pin placements too. I do think it'd be a grind if winds hit high tens or above, but around 12mph or below its a beautiful, rewarding course.
Got the majority of it sussed now, where to hit my tee shots and where to land on the greens. Really looking forward to next week after my disaster this week.

I actually like this course too. There are some really challenging holes and the drive is key. On XB1 there was a Sunday version of the course, and that one was a little wonky. One hole (a par 3) had a tiny little postage stamp green with the pin in the far right back. The problem was there was a huge tree right in front of it and the 12mph wind made it tough to shape in there. I blew the shot completely, hit the leaves, and ended up 3 feet from the hole. Total luck. But it didn't seem like a fair hole.
I went -11, -10 on the regular version and -11 on the Sunday course. That will translate into 65-66 for the tournament rounds because I always freeze up. I expect winners will be -40 or so.
I didn't have any issue with the greens. I prefer the faster greens personally.
It should be a good test for sure.

As an example, leader on the PS4 practice tournament is -41 (don't know which tour he's on though). Only a few have completed the four rounds however, I'm currently -26 through the first 3 rounds. So yeah, -40ish will be the winners score I believe.
Its a course you do need to learn really, going into it having barely played it before could lead to disaster. Compared to Red October with its annoying trees blocking shots and a few little glitches, this plays a superb round.

-41 over four rounds on Oktoberfest is godly. I really don't see the winner of Oktoberfest in the 40's. But then again, I didn't expect anyone better than -30 on week 1's Ballyntyne.
I just played three rounds in a row and got -5 each time. The course is slightly easier than Ballyntyne, but not by much. This is on the regular Oktoberfest course. Maybe the ones with the days is easier?
The course really forces you to club down to land fairways and punishes you if you miss.

Friday and Sunday are easier I've found. Slightly harder greens in places but easier winds.

This is a multi pin tournament so four different courses. I liked the greens because I am partial to fast greens in this game. I also thought the roll out wasn't too bad. This is a strategic course off of the tee. Should be fun. BTW, I did not at all think the greens were too sloped. Approach position is key on some but not a deal breaker for a lag putt or even birdie.

-32 on the practice tournament so I wouldn't be surprised if high -30s/low -40s wins this.

Its definitely a course of 2 halves.
I played it last night in the practice tour was +2 through 9 but walked off 18 -5 (7 birdies all putts).
Its a thinkers course that will be punishing for not been accurate but if every course has the same pitfalls would we keep playing?
and I agree a 40 will win it again this week.
