Winds were double digit for probably less than 15% of the 4 rounds I played. With conditions this good, there was no excuse for me to shoot a -3 on my first round. Nerves? Not sure, I guess I've always been slow out of the hole. In the Challenge Circuit, you could make up for poor initial play on the back rounds. In the web, you just get cut.
I finished -34 overall with a 57 in the third round. What a shame that it will probably never see the scoreboard. The most frustrating thing about that first round for me was that I had just hit a 59 and 61 in practice right before I began the tournament.
Good luck to the rest of you this week. It's a less punishing, hence more enjoyable, course on the greens than last week. My guess is -46 for the winner this week.

So after missing my first Web cut last week, I decided to change strategy and not play all my rounds at once. I started with a first round -11. The question now is how long can I wait before my next round. My guess is I do not get past the weekend without finishing this tourney. ?

I would keep playing... if you're "on fire"... let them keep flying!

I just played my first and second rounds...
I shot a -6 the first round, which could of been much worse because I ended with a bunch of birdies after a par fest on the front and a bogey to start the back nine... wind was 4-10 I think Then I shot a -8 in the second round, which could of been better with 1 bogey mistake and a bunch of missed birdies by inches or less (what's new).... Wind this round was 4-12
So, I'm sitting at -14 and I hope that is enough to not get cut!
Good luck everyone.
P.S. One thing I dislike about this course is the horrible placement of trees... I mean horrible. No course would ever place trees like this one does... especially one hole where the branch of the tree takes up 30% of the fairway where your ball lands.

Drinks are on me! My first hole in one in Tournament play. Helped me to a -38. Broke my rule of playing all 4 rounds at the same time and my 4th round ended up being worst with my 3 bogies of the tournament.. (That's why I have the rule...) Good luck everyone, now to try and make the cut with this no aids faff

Decided to play this one half drunk after an afternoon visit to the pub. First round, -1. Dreadful idea all told!
I'll play the next three, sod it, I'm already not going to make the cut so let's go!

Next three rounds as the beer began to wear off, -8, -9 and -8 for -26 in total. So I never would have won it or really been in contention and I highly doubt I've made the cut, but lesson learned: Do not play your tournament straight after a pub visit!

Didnt feel I managed my way around this course particularly well but it was made difficult with the positioning of some of those trees and branches. -9 & -8 for -17 at the half way point. Went in to this off a couple of poor rounds so I'll gladly take it. Well played Chris Lewis on your round mate, that's a lovely score to be sitting on!! I'm not too far behind you though ;-) ⛳️

A certain missed cut for me this week. I really can't figure out what I found so challenging about this course but it certainly got into my head the whole time. Not sure I was within 10 feet on any approach.
66, 64 for -12 at the half way point. Not even going to play the last 2 rounds.
Saw some really good playing with the ghosts on XB1. Don't know who they are here but a -22 was leading after round 2.
Deano and Mr. Yorkshire, my rivals, I concede this week without even putting up much of a fight. Good luck rest of the way everyone! I'm off to practice the next course.

This is the first time I've ever played a tournament before the official opening on the Monday. Where do you guys enter your scores?

had to play all 4 rounds as I'm away all week. Shot a 57 (-13) for R1, not as good for the next 3 & finished with a -30

Agreed. Didnt feel I managed my way around this course particularly well but it was made difficult with the positioning of some of those trees Hole 6 still baffles me.. No idea how to play it I hit what probably was the TGC drive of my life on the 2nd round hole #10. Aimed right of the trees and fairway, used the 10 mph wind + draw landed me in the fairway about 160 yards out...YES(after I attempted & made the drive). No tree ANYWHERE in my sightline & my 7 iron gets caught up in the tree above my head out of view. WTF? I mentally crumbled. I was rolling early & that shot seemed to change everything like a horrible turnover near the goaline in football. Sigh
