My third and fourth rounds were littered with ball squirts that went well against the slope of the ball and/or put me in really bad positions off the tee. A lot of those two rounds required me to just scramble for par. Two bogeys in both r3 and r4. Still lots of lipped out putts. My fourth round could have been something special when I was -4 through 4, but then 2 pars (on #5 and #6 no less) and finishing with a bogey on the way out ruined that. R1: 60 (-10) R2: 60 (-10) R3: 63 (-7) R4: 62 (-8) Total: 245 (-35)
Knowing the score I needed to beat I was sitting at -34 going into 17 on round 4. Going big or going home, I took a risky shot on 17 around the corner and just avoided the bunker. I couldn't stick it close enough to make the putt though, and left the putt on 18 short... fell short by 1... not too bad for my first web.com tour!
I'm the type of guy who gets in and gets out of the locker room, but I always enjoy reading the chatter here, so thought I'd join in on the new year
Awesome rounds man! So close too.

Wow... currently 69 people at -7 and better. If one more person posts -7 or better in the next hour, -6 will not longer be the cut-off.

Thank you.. I don't know if the crazy greens made me concentrate on the putting or what, but that's the best 4 rounds putting I think I've put together on this game.. I was making stuff from everywhere.

Complete howler of a 4th round... came in at -22 (-8,-7,-7) knowing probably another -7 could get me top 5. Played a practice 9 to get warmed and was absolutely on fire, was 6 under after 9 holes. Figured may as well play the fourth round while things were going well, I should have known better.
On the 2nd hole, came up way right and almost went in the water... then almost holed my chip and was about 5 feet away and proceeded to 3 putt for double-bogey and just couldn't recover. Not sure what happened, but from then on, my math was somehow wrong on almost every approach and I couldn't make a putt longer than 5 feet to save my life. Then had two flops that hit the pin and rolled off the green and back to my original spot leading to bogies.
Only silver lining was an eagle from the sand on the driveable part 4 to get back to +1.
Confidence is totally shot, but at least that round happened on the last so I didn't miss the cut. Need to get a new set of clubs after these ones got wrapped around a tree!

I'll watch the fourth round scores with interest to see if others found it tougher as well. I played my usual game I just couldn't score and it's not often I'll have a run of 4 bogeys, just seemed to leave myself with some hellish putts on that last round. Onwards and upwards!! ⛳️ Wind was certainly higher at the beginning and for a period later on, it seemed to be in different directions. Maybe this meant we were on different parts of the green. I found putting more difficult too. Yep spot on Dean. I seemed to find myself being left with some awful putts on that last round even when going close to the pin. So...not to brag or anything...there's a long season ahead, but erm...1 v 0 to Kenny!! This could get interesting. Hope you can join us one evening for a game mate, I know you're limited to when you get on but hopefully we can all get a game together sometime soon ⛳️ ;-)

Onwards and upwards Kenny. Putting is easily the most inconsistent part of my game, the opposite of real life where putting is the only thing I can do. I do think I just ended up at the wrong side of the hole more.
I think I need a secretary to keep note of all of these rivalries!!! Already down in most. Like I need more pressure?
That would be good to get a game in, I will let you know when I have a chance.

I will finish it this afternoon, but I found that I improved a lot, I think I was -3 through 5 or 6 holes. Not that it matters as I missed the cut!!

After wakin up this morning to discover I somehow made the cut, I played round 3 and made a hole in one, my second one in tgctours. Only -4 though to go -10 after 3 round.
I'm currently stood on the 13th tee. I've made 12 straight pars so far in round 4. Tough course, dunno how you guys have scored so well. I've struggled to get the ball close all week and the few opportunities I've had for usually simple birdie putts, I've lipped them out.
Not my best tournament but there have been positives. • Made the cut. • Hole in one.
See you next week folks!

Made the cut despite submitting a round 2 scorecard of 67 despite shooting an actual 64 (I'm a moron, I signed the wrong score thanks to being under the influence of substances). Needless to say my confidence wasn't peaking for round 3. I was standing on the 14th tee at -2 when I hit this shot (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAfh_HyLbRg) to bring me to -4 and jump start my best round yet, shooting (AND carding) a -7 63.
The future was looking bright until I decided to lose all ability to putt in the final round, ending with a -2 68 (lipped out or left short at least 6 putts, wtf?). Totally disappointed but for my first round on the "pro" web.com tour I suppose I can't complain. I seriously need to improve my consistency in putting if I ever stand a chance at a top 25 finish.
By the end of my 4 rounds I would rate this course as a solid 7.5, ended up really enjoying this course and I hope future web.com courses provide this same level of challenge. Well done on the short risk reward par4 16th hole, this was a blast to play all tournament. I really enjoyed having to make a decision on how to play this hole.

Agreed on the 16th hole, its great to have at least one or two of those holes on a course that make you think about what you want to do instead of just pounding a drive and then just doing the math on the approach.
