Two rounds and out for me as I couldn't even break par. +4 for 2 rounds.
I may have to hitch a ride in your new van David.
I am making more 'virtual money' in the TST than the Euro.

We've always got room for a fellow rookie Bill! Heading off to the Netherlands bright and early tomorrow so come along! Gary gfoss1986 made the cut (Mr. Consistent) and will be flying first class after making a nice paycheck, so we can get in a few extra practice rounds at Dainton Park.

If you'd have told me at the start of the season that I'd make the cut in the first 5 events I would have claimed you to be a fool yet here we are. I do like the look of Dainton Park, Medium Soft firmness is my kinda green, look forward to a few practise rounds soon hopefully :-)

Hoping to make it 4/5 (including my crossover last week)... missed putts in Rd 2 will be the death of me.

Not Euro related. Wish me luck as I have made the 3rd round of the HB Studios knockout tourney. Down to 20 on the PS4. Making the final 10 will be very hard as I am going against the best. I will need your good vibes. Good luck to anyone else still alive.

Guys I have not played this course yet as I have been playing the TST and HB Knockout tourney. How many practice rounds do I need to get familiar with this course as time is ticking? How are the winds?
Any help is appreciated.
By the way, the TST course is great this week!
Good luck.

Hi Bill,
I've played all four rounds and you really need to play a couple practice rounds so you know about how to hit some key tee shots, some with dual fairways and others with severe doglegs off the tee. I don't know the exact hole numbers except for #11, which is a really tough tee shot with a severe dog leg left. Of course the wind is blowing right, but you'll need to play far enough right to miss the trees or loft up over and hope to hit the fairway. (Don't use my ghost because I hit in the trees everyday!) Try to be more conservative on these tee shots to just hit the fairways or you'll be scrambling for pars. There is also a hole where there is a waterway running lengthwise down the fairway and you can layup or go over. I was able to go over 3 of 4 days, but it is not an easy tee shot. On the front, a severe dogleg right where you need to just hit a bit of a fade and play a 225 or 245. Will be a long 2nd shot, but in the trees or rough is dead.
You can score here and the winds are mostly moderate throughout the tourney. Be patient early as I had poor starts in 3 rounds and still got to -8,-9 each day. Good Luck Bill!

A tip for #11 is to put the driver back in the bag. I used a 3 wood every round and hit fairway each round. It's a tough hole but I got lucky with a 194 yard eagle. I think I made par on the other 3 rds. If I wouldn't have hit flagstick it would have been 4 pars. Good luck

I played a practice round on this course last night in HIGH winds. Can be tough if you are not hitting your spots. I do not like the lay out of #11 and the fairway design of a few others. Not going to expect too much this week as sometimes you get out of something what you put in. My lack of practice may send me home after 2 rds if I don't play better than I did in the practice rd.
Thanks David and phillyotl for your tips.

Not Euro related.
Well fellow rookies, I gave it my best shot, but it appears I will be one shot short of the top 10 to advance to the fourth round of the HB knockout tournament.
Shot -22 for 2 rds and it was not good enough which included a -14 second round.
Oh well, on to Dainton.

Congrats to all the rookies who made the cut this week on the Euro and TST tours. I find myself spending more 'prep time' on the TST than the Euro. Just curious, how is your practice time allocated between the tgc tours?
Side note: I am a real life 'die hard' golfer even though I don't get to play but once a week normally. Went to play in Shelby, NC yesterday and we decided to play even though there had been 2 1/2 inches of rain overnight. On the first hole I lost my ball in a greenside bunker which had turned into a greenside pond. Other than the super wet conditions, it was a nice day to play weather wise. (temps in the 70's) On the 14th hole, we noticed a hump had appeared in the fairway. About one foot high and four feet around. Water did not have anywhere to go so the fairway had a 'pimple'. Very unusual to see.
Anyway, shot an 81 and felt like I played pretty good. David and any other real life golfers will attest that in wet fairways, you must not move over the ball or you will hit it fat every time and sometime get 'mud in the face'. I did that a few times also. We are lucky in North Carolina to have good weather so that we can play almost year round.
It was nice though to have the course to ourselves for the good part of our round.

Hello, I am new to the European Tour, fresh from Q-School. Tbh I'm a little confused about how the Tour works, in particular what I need to do to keep my card. Looking at some of the scores I get the feeling I will end up lowe down the rankings but just wanted to be clear what will get me demoted.
Sorry if I should know this - I did have a look around but could't find it.
