Some reasons (for me) to crossover last season: - I don't like the course on my home tour - Big pot/big points for WGR on the other tour - Majors of course! Also, I believe the Euro and PGA playoffs will not overlap in season two (looking for final confirmation here: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/5106/euro-players-request-change-tours?page=3&scrollTo=66989), so high level players can "split" their schedules to try and make deep runs in both the PGA FedEx Cup playoffs and the Euro Road To Dubai playoffs.

Only the final events don't overlap. The first 3 weeks do.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when the Bridgestone and French Open clash. God damn Olympics. I'm guessing those who qualify will just play the WGC unlike real life where tradition seems to be winning out.

Finished playing a couple practice rounds in Algarve. Be sure to lather the bug repellent as there is a sheep farm located adjacent to #5 and the flies are killers. Anyone figure out how to reach the first par 5 in two? Double dogleg. I did reach the 2nd one in two (downhill long hole) going up and through the trees, but only ended up on the upper left side of the green with the longest most downhill put I've ever had. Putt drops 60 feet! I do recommend the fish tacos at the turn. There is a little shack just to the left of #10 tee. Sorry no credit cards....

Played my first practice round and hit -1. 1 birdie, 17 pars. Winds were between 18-22mph. Links theme so part of the course. Enjoyed the challenge. Hope we get winds like this in the tournament but I'm not holding my breath with this new wind system, still not convinced with it.

Pretty sure we played this course last year as one of the beta events and the winning score was -55. Lets hope the winds a bit stiffer this time.

I was wondering too we are playing that course again! But okay, let's take it as it is!
Had a decent practice round a few hours ago (-12), but I wonder if I can go low over 4 rounds.

Just completed round four and was extremely pleased with final score (-34), however as the week progressed, the Portugese diet got the best of me and round four was played with double vision and a severe hangover. Damn those tequila shots! Anyhow, my caddie failed to show up the last day and I had to lug my own tour bag. Now I know why my caddie always b%&ed about me having four extra pair of golf shoes in the bag.... Anyhow, tied my travelmate and fellow rookie Gary F, and we may pull out a top 50. Not bad for our debut! We are currently en route to Hong Kong where Hammish County Down will host week 2. We've heard the greens superintendent is a bit stingy with the water and we can expect rock hard and fast playing conditions. Can't say the food will be an improvement, and the drink of choice will be sake. PS - Just got a text from my caddie that he met a babe in Algarvae and is not coming to Hong Kong. Argh.....week two is off to a rocky start!

That makes two of us, and I'm not going to get any better with this week's course.
