It's two and done for me this week. I mirrored Rory's words today as he reflected on his round saying, "the more times you hit a putt and it doesn't go in, the harder it is to visualize putts dropping." I'm second and third guessing breaks and speed. With a surely missed cut this week, it's off to the practice tee for me! Good luck all!

I may actually make cut week 2. But then 3rd round was mediocre.

My missed cut streak is now two after.a poor showing this week. While I play solidly in practice rounds, I'm just trying too damn hard when the flag goes up in the tour event. Secondl guessing club selection and putt breaks, resulting in way too may pars and bogeys. Unlike the Web tour where you can play average rounds and make the cut, this tour doesn't allow any room for slip ups. Fortunately I have been able to stretch out my week one winnings of $6,500, but this week it's back to roughing it and eating on the cheap. With the top players out this week, making the cut should be doable. Hopefully I can repeat the 58 I had in practice, but I'd happily take just making some puts! How are my fellow rookies faring thus far?

Missed Cut Missed Cut Missed Cut
I am playing below my normal standards though. I should be capable of making cuts here.

First tournament out of Q-school and I was surprised how nervous I was the first round. Shot -4 & thought I was toast for the cut. Pulled a -12 out of nowhere and somehow squeaked in. The leaders seem to be on a whole different level. Hope to keep improving as I bought an Xbox one after player numerous hours of this game at my buddies. When I started kicking his butt then I got kicked out. LOL. Can't wait for all the challenges this tour seems to provide. Cheers to the creators of this deep & rich golf experience

Missed Cut Missed Cut Missed Cut I am playing below my normal standards though. I should be capable of making cuts here. Definitely. A lot of the times it's either putting too much pressure on yourself or just not feeling comfortable on the courses. It will come around for you soon enough! I'll admit I'm surprised to have made two out of three cuts so far.

Made cut
Made cut
This week I missed the cut. Shot a -2 the first round then went -8 the second round. I still really need to work on my putting. Playing some of the top players ghosts, I see my approach shots are not that much different, but these guys sink almost every putt within 20ft.
I thought this course was tough, pin placements were difficult with some real slopes around the pins. Not unfair, just tough (IMO).

What a week! I came into this tournament with low expectations after missing two cuts and not playing my best. But what.a tournament this was! This week I played my 1,000th round and I've been playing more and really working to get better. And it all came together and it was a blast! Having played real golf tournaments my whole life, I can tell you that when golfers talk about just wanting to get in position to win coining into the final round, it is true. All of us here on TGC just dream about playing good enough to win, but in reality, I'm not even close to the top player's skill level. But this week they are not here, so that opened things up. I've never been so nervous playing mid tourney and into the final round doing tiger like fist pumps when putts or chips dropped! I'm not going to win, but after shooting -8 on the front 9 of the final round as an eagle rolled in I was in position. I have to thank again the creators and staff that brought us this wonderful platform to fulfill golf fantasies. I also want to thank my good online friends who truly have brought this experience to a level I thought not possible. Our daily battles on line have helped elevate our games! The big boys and girls come back next week, so it will be back to reality and fighting to make cuts. But for this week, this rookie had the time of his life!

Thanks to the WGC being played I was able to finally make a cut. I still need to play a lot better but hopefully it can be a starting point.

After a trainwreck 1st round I rebounded to shoot 3 good rounds. -35
Luke, Less and all who are struggling, hang in there.
We all have our ups and downs.

I had four good rounds this week as well, started with a 59 then shot 63, 62 and finished with a 65 that's four good rounds for a -39 I know it was an easier course and all but I'm still pleased with that. Going to start my rounds for next weeks tournaments tonight I hope I have two good opening rounds again so I make my third cut in a row.

Back to earth this week after a 3rd place finish. Missed just about every putt in the first round after playing some solid practice rounds. Played with Tyler Duke's ghost as he shot -15. I've never seen a better putter and chipper as he made putts from all over. Last week I didn't use ghosts for the first time, so I'll go back to that next week. It's too easy to get discouraged being 6-7 shots behind after 9 holes! Just ordered an upgraded travel van with the nice check that came in, so no more cheap hotels. My travel partner Gary Foster (Gfoss1986) continues his consistent play as he climbs the world rankings. Looks like a missed cut for me, so off to the practice tee. Good luck all!
