I missed soooo many 8 footers I cant believe it. I actually was laughing at myself it got so bad. I literally had about 12 tap ins for par over the first two rounds.

Looking for a little help...anyone know what I am doing wrong? My card will show something like: 94% FIR 90% GIR Very good ball striking all around... Yet -7, -6. Putts were something like 31 or so (per round) Anyone have any idea of my weakness it would help greatly? Thanks To me, it's always proximity to the hole when my fairway and green stats are good, and scores don't translate. On some of these courses, if you are outside 25 ft, you're just hoping to make par. If you're a little off, you have a long putt for par.

Sorry, that is what I was trying to convey by "ball striking". I missed a ton of 8 footers (or even less). lots of lip outs... my post was mean to convey sarcasm. I putted like #$S@ (poop)

I think the tap ins may be a hint. Not the best TGC putter myself but if you get more confidence you'll notice the ones you bang in would have been 6/8 foot past the hole not tap ins. The pros always take out the break and hit them firmer. I'd recommend we both risk missing more putts to start making them

Gotta practice putting a bunch to build up that confidence.

With my better rounds I tend to hammer them at the hole but it normally catches me out on the odd hole. I actually putt best in speed golf as I read greens pretty naturally, over thinking them is my worse enemy. However I try to always look past the hole when I can, if its downhill after the hole then you have to be measured for sure. That is where positioning is so important. Some rounds I'm firing close to flags but always on the high side and end up not scoring that well

Oh I agree, I left myself a lot of times, places I had to be careful. There was no 6 feet past... 12 feet past, in or lag. But I completely agree with the firm stroke - 4-6 ft past philosophy.

Scores aren't as good as I thought they'd be. Top guy on PS4 is -27 after 3. Then again, I guess not many people have played yet?

Longest Putt... 5.6ft! Looked like I was putting (or approaching) well until the 13th where I've then 2-putted my way in. Greens are tricky. I think it was #10 on Round 3. I was about 6 yards away from the pin after 2. Chipped and ended up down a slope and then I'm sure I 3-putted for a 6!!

Thanks I've been through that too (i tend to go in and out of that a lot)... sounds like the approach shots are on the green but too far/wrong spot to make birdies.

I need to learn to hit the ball a whole lot closer if I'm ever going to win in this dam tour! Trying to make 15 ft putts across slopes is just too tough for me haha Anyway -7 -10 -8 -12 for -37. Not bad, but not good enough. Good luck to all yet to play
