With the roaring winds of the North Atlantic to contend with this week.
Royal Ballylough should provide a stern test for the cream of the crop. With the winds up in the teens for most of the week the challenge will be to keep your focus for the full 72 holes, because a lapse in concentration will have you scrambling more than you'd like I'm sure. Strong cross winds combined with this championship layout will keep scores down but I'm confident we will still see some low scoring with great shots being rewarded time and time again.
Good luck out there and feel free to let us know about your time out on the Links..... All the best Euro Tour 2015!!!

Split my rounds into two (Two yesterday and Two today) to keep that concentration level up and pretty pleased with the result overall (will save the details for the spoiler thread)
However, Back 9 of my final round was testament to how much the course can bite you if you are 2 yards off target.
Best thing about this course - you can hit a shot that lands exactly where you want it to and end up miles away, but you can also hit a poor shot, get a lucky bounce and make an undeserved birdie - happenned to me several times.
Proper Links experience in those winds. Great fun

It is the best links course in the game. Plays well no matter the wind and a bit trickier to get those birdies than it looks. The 16-18 final stretch is classic.
I fully expect to linger in the bottom third - but really enjoyed the tournament.
Ballylough runs laps around next weeks venue, and that's also a really good course. Happy days on the Euro Tour.

Brilliant course, and worthy of the tough conditions. I loved playing my 4 rounds, and look forward to the details in the spoiler thread!

Whoohoo .. Ballylough just gave me a trophy named "Comeback Kid" in stormy round 3.
Finish a round under par having been +3 or worse at hole 9
That kind of sums up the round ;-)

I see this is the spoiler thread now!
As I say, loved playing this course. Hit 64-65-67-65. Round 4 probably should've been 2 or 3 shots better, but a couple of poor tee shots late on cost me a couple of bogeys.
So glad the wind blew for all 4 rounds!
Very happy with how I played though.

Certainly was a test in those winds, I'm -1 through two rounds and felt as though I actually played pretty decent. I don't even look at the top half of the leaderboard anymore as I can't even get close to the scores that the top guys shoot.

66-61-60-67 for -30.
It's a very good score, but i still feel i am 5 or 6 short of what the winner will shoot. Best i have ever played tee to green by some distance, gave myself so many looks but just don't make enough of those 15-20 footers and failed to take advantage of some of the easier holes in Rounds 1 & 4.
Adore the course, possibly my favourite in the game.

Great course, had fun even though the winds were tough! 71-63-68-66...would like to have Round 1 back (as I would like to every week it seems...)

I am on PGA, but I have been following this thread, and with all the high praise as well as playing this course prior to this event, I hope you don't mind me playing it for fun/enjoyment/practice as I am a big fan of links courses. I warmed up on the front 9 of Rd 1 for my Rd 3 event on the PGA as the winds were similar. I will come back to finish it sometime this week.
Good luck to all of you actually in the competition, and carry on.

That is just a glorious, glorious golf course. Absolutely splendid. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment I spent cursing it. (and I say that with great fondness)

Game of two halves for me. Round 1: -3 Round 2: -1 Round 3: -6 (17mph winds) Round 4: -7
Don't know what changed but too little too late, hoping for a top 20 at least...

Needed it... had nothing going up to that point. Was one over thinking I was blowing it, and then got the good bounce for the ace. That helped keep my head in the game. Didn't shoot a great score compared to some others, but thought it was an overall solid round. Aces sure help with that... I should try to do that more.
