When I saw the winds for my first round, I knew I might be in trouble, add to that my putting issues, this was going to be a battle. Blowing a short putt for birdie on the first was not the start I wanted. After that, it just got worse, four dropped shots over the next four holes. The winds were playing havoc with my round, the long par fours always had a headwind of fifteen miles a hour or so, I just could not reach the green in two, the crosswinds were the worst though, so hard to put the ball anywhere decent. I picked up one shot on the front nine but dropped that again the very next hole. The back nine started better, two birdies over first three holes before the wind caused problems on the thirteenth and back to three over. I battled back to one over coming in to the last hole. My tee shot on the last was taken to a bunker by a very strong cross wind, I had no choice but to pitch it out of the bunker leaving me a very long third in high crosswinds. I did not make the green, a chip and short putt for bogey and a seventy four. I have not had a great start on the cc-a and while my score was not great, two over in those conditions was not the worst round I ever played. I could do with a confidence booster I think but I will keep battling, hopefully tomorrow's round will bring calmer conditions, if not, at least it's good practice in windy conditions for when the wind fix comes back. Good luck every one. Keep going mate. Who knows what'll happen the next round! The mental side of this game really piles the pressure on, that's why I like to get my rounds done and dusted early. Fingers x'd for you Thanks Rob, ever since I started tgctours back in the champions tour the encouragement and support from other players has been outstanding. Your message is just another example of it. It's a great little community we have here, long may it continue.

Got off to a slow start, but something finally clicked on the front 9 of round 1... which I carried through to round 2. Finally got a bit of confidence back in the flat-stick and also my irons. Had a handful of clumsy drives which cost me some strokes -- including one in Round 2 which I put way left, then tried to clear the water out of the trees. Didn't work so well. THANKFULLY the drop rules are in place so I could at least get down for bogey, instead of worse. A little bit of motivation now that I've got one of those Red X's beside my name.

Ever since my practice rounds, I haven't been able to click with this course. I have started with a 68 and 70 in my first 2 rounds. I am just hoping for a respectable score to finish. I know this isn't my week. I keep burning the edges with my putts. Doubled #9 in my second round. That is a brutal pin. I was able to recover after starting +3 for the front 9 of round 2. I respect any of you guys tearing this course up.

well knowing i cant really compete against the low scorers i went ahead and played in 16-19mph winds , finished my first round at 66 and second at 70....was really happy with those scores as i felt like i really earn't them , only thing that seems strange is the green speed, some green i would swear were slow and others like glass to putt on...

I just shot a bogey free 3rd round of 62. My personal best on TGCT. It felt so good to finally have sub 10 mph winds on this course.

Played 1st 2 rounds in winds of 7-15 mph, but mainly they were brutal crosswinds. Shot 66 on both rounds, which will probably leave me in the top 30 after 2. Hopefully get my last 2 rounds in tonight after playing some RL golf.

I thought winds were supposed to be the same for everyone in these comps? I'm hitting driver into 15mph winds and coming up 40-50 yards short of ghost players at the moment? What's up with that's?

Flush a driver and a 3 wood on 12 and still have 100 yards in yet one ghost is tapping in for Eagle? Hardly seems fair?

Mate winds arent fixed for everyone as yet, as people complained and winds were not the same for everyone, so should be fixed soon, dont really know

really? looking forward to it? the players that are beating you now will really destroy you with equal winds. the gap will be bigger dont you people understand this the great players will become even more unbeatable than what they were before, you might close the gap to the average players that were lucky with the wind but thats it.

I finished 5th on web tour during the wind fix. My best finish. My second best finish came when I played all 4 rounds in calm winds (7th in Web). I usually don't have time to wait around for calm winds as I play turn based with my friend so we play whenever we both get the spare time. Same winds for everyone is a good equaliser and the fairest way.

you missed my point. the great players will still post the same scores no matter how strong the wind. The average and poor player will post scores worse than now. but I do understand that you're a bit above average but with strong winds for everybody the gap will be greater. but of course little wind to no wind will probably benefit the average to poor player.
