Looks like I'll be playing the Web.com tourney this week on exemption, so my -38 on Homestead won't count. I'm sure it wouldn't have been good enough for a win, but should give you guys an idea of what scoring to expect. I left a good 5-10 shots out there, missing at least that many short putts. If someone's at the top of their game, I expect it will take -45 to -48 to win this week. I managed a -41...hoping that gives me a shot at the W! I am guessing though that someone goes lower than that...this is a very scorable course if winds are light.

Completely flopped my first round, which I have a habit of doing!
-41 is great. Well done

I can see a near -50 score here. -45 minimum.

Managed to shoot a personal-best tournament score since joining TGCT - very happy with it. An opening round 59 (including a chip-in birdie on 18) couldn't have gone much better. Very happy overall, and really enjoyed this course. The only frustration I had in this tournament was at least a half-dozen shots at 94%. VERY frustrating as every single one of those should have ended up very close to the hole but instead were in bunkers, well short, or even a couple lob wedges that rolled completely off the green. Not really sure how to solve that problem since I pause every time at the top of my swing to make sure I get 100%. Ah well. Enjoyed playing this course - hopefully this is my first challenge at winning a weekly tournament since starting up a few months ago! Good luck to all. Nate i matched that with the my best round since i bought this game... man a 59 feels so good... i probably had the best putting round of my life.... i made everything, and not just great eagles but tough par puts that win... i recommend investing in a new MS controller for those who have trouble hitting it straight... i still push a lot of shots but now my putting is sooooo much better... good luck Settler.... tied -22 thru 2

I've played two practice rounds and shot a combined -1. I just can't get it going on this course for some reason. Hopefully the switch will flip when I play for real. You're saving your best rounds for the tourney! Good luck Looks like you were right, at least for round 1. I shot -6. The first five holes had me wanting to pull my hair out. I went bogey, birdie, bogey, bogey, eagle. It took me a bit to get the speed of the greens down. Someone on PS4 shot -14 for round 1. Get that guy out of my tour lol.

Oh so you play one last tournament before using your exemption? Got it. Yes. Because the overlap. Current tournament still hasn't ended yet. Just an FYI, but this has changed - it's now an instant promotion. Since all CC flights (except CC-A) play the same in-game event, it's much easier to make it an immediate promotion.

When I saw the winds for my first round, I knew I might be in trouble, add to that my putting issues, this was going to be a battle. Blowing a short putt for birdie on the first was not the start I wanted. After that, it just got worse, four dropped shots over the next four holes. The winds were playing havoc with my round, the long par fours always had a headwind of fifteen miles a hour or so, I just could not reach the green in two, the crosswinds were the worst though, so hard to put the ball anywhere decent. I picked up one shot on the front nine but dropped that again the very next hole. The back nine started better, two birdies over first three holes before the wind caused problems on the thirteenth and back to three over. I battled back to one over coming in to the last hole. My tee shot on the last was taken to a bunker by a very strong cross wind, I had no choice but to pitch it out of the bunker leaving me a very long third in high crosswinds. I did not make the green, a chip and short putt for bogey and a seventy four. I have not had a great start on the cc-a and while my score was not great, two over in those conditions was not the worst round I ever played. I could do with a confidence booster I think but I will keep battling, hopefully tomorrow's round will bring calmer conditions, if not, at least it's good practice in windy conditions for when the wind fix comes back. Good luck every one.

Fingers x'd for you

JD, I've seen you putt plenty from range so shouldn't be an issue not being outrageously close on approach! You've certainly given me a chance to finish ahead of you for one round! All the best for the remaining rounds Haha, well my putting is off today as well. I've already missed a handful inside of 10 feet. Sitting at -18 after two rounds... gotta pickup the pace lol. Good luck to you as well! JD, you're certainly playing a couple of flights better than you're currently placed! I played the Web tour for comparison and your first round 58 was amazing. There was such a difference between Homestead and Jasper yet I ended up scoring the same. A little disappointed with my Homestead tour, overall but Jasper felt much more rewarding. Stringing 4 excellent rounds is such a challenge!

Played my last round in 15 mph winds and hit -3 to end -20 for the tournament. Looking at my first round stats I hit 17/18 greens and only hit -5, sums up the first 3 rounds of putting very well. The last round I must have only hit 50% fairways due to high winds with the narrow fairways. Ah well, bring on Hobble Creek.
