Thunderstorms put paid to my RL golf, so R3 & 4 was played in again high winds, but this time mainly head & tail winds.
R3, another 66, R4 a 68, but I may get DQ (pretty sure I entered a 66)
Ah well count to 10

you missed my point. the great players will still post the same scores no matter how strong the wind. The average and poor player will post scores worse than now. but I do understand that you're a bit above average but with strong winds for everybody the gap will be greater. but of course little wind to no wind will probably benefit the average to poor player. That is why I believe there are flights, web and euro/PGA tours - so the good players move to where they belong. Give it a few months and, barring new players joining through qschool, the flights should even out.

My first two rounds have absolutely illustrated why I think there should be cuts in CC... I had a decent start but bogeyed 10 and doubled 11, and limped home -1 with no motivation as I felt I had nothing to play for. With a cut, I'd still have to keep going to try to qualify for the final two rounds, and my 65 in the second round would have actually been worth something. Currently playing round 3 but it's purely to get the tournament over and done with now.

Sure, you may not win it but what a comeback!

You might not win but with the inclusion of so many stats now due to the API, I still have motivation after a bad round to come back with a good round. I also like to think every place I finish higher will benefit my WGR which will eventually come into play with major tournaments, etc.

I'm not big on the whole tour thing anyway because I'm probably not going to do all that well in each event (I know the vast majority of people love it, and I'm not complaining about it), so I only really come here for the community.

Just try your best mate. And have fun doing it. Yes it can be frustrating but with time you'll get better

I know there's the prospect of demotion, but it's hard to describe how I feel about the lack of a cut. Basically, I feel like 4 rounds is a long way to go to just miss out on top 70. I know that there's pressure on trying to shoot low and get into that top 70, but to me it feels like if I miss out, I'm not really bothered. I'm not trying to impose my way of thinking on other people, and I'm not a huge tour player anyway so it would be wrong for me to tell others how they should be enjoying their game, I'm just trying to explain my somewhat apathetic approach to the last couple of rounds.

What a frustrating start to this tournament for me. Played a practice round and really enjoyed the course. Didn't necessarily post a great score, but that was more due to experimenting with where I wanted to play onto the green.
So I figured I'd get round one in today over lunch and on the first four holes I went three putt, four putt, three putt, three putt. Talk about taking the wind out of my sails. Managed to fight back to 73, but even then I should have been a few shots lower.
Oh well, maybe I can find my groove in the second.

I love having the motivation of three cuts, so to speak... top 5 for exemptions, top 70 to avoid strikes, and top 30 to erase strikes. Even in a week like this where I got off to a poor start and didn't light it up to contend with the 40-45 crowd, I was able to get myself into a reasonable spot.

Keeping an eye out for this weeks exemptions as I'm included!!
After Rd 1 it's quite close between those that have already submitted rounds and, surprisingly, Aiman Chahl last weeks CC B winner is currently -1. He's going to keep us guessing!!! Well done to Michael and Wayne, -4 and -5
Feel free to share your scores if you've already completed your rounds. And best of luck!
