This happens to be people every week who wind wait or can't play their final round until late and the wind is blowing. It happens. Next week there will be no more of this, but you can't expect a cancellation of a tournament because of some winds. lol I had to play in those winds at the Conservatory Club in my final round. There is a difference between playing in the last moments of a tournament or having absurd winds for the last three days which never appeared the whole week and seem to be locked in by the program. You can not even train with these winds as it is not a time window during which such conditions appear. But again: I do not expect any change of rules and just wanted to report my annoyance. I am T6 after Round 3 (T7 after Sloaner has finished his round) and just hope that many others have not played round 4 yet.

Just played rds. 3&4. 6 mph rd 3 16 mph rd 4 If anyone hasn't played yet, please post the wind on your round. By the way I shot even round 4, but missed like 4 short putts. 4 bogies, only ones the entire tournament?

unfortuantly accept it is what you shall have to do? What do you expect them to do? Restart it? I do not expect anything. I just wanted to inform you that I am **** and annoyed. The fairest would be to cancel round 4. I know it will not happen. I can't quite believe you think it's fairest to cancel Rd 4 just because you don't like the wind conditions. I think people need to get some perspective, hb are attempting to give us an improved game for free and tgctours had no control over wind. Let's just play the cards we have been dealt and enjoy it.

I'm programming something into the site over the next two weeks that will hopefully cure these a bit.

I think people need to get some perspective, hb are attempting to give us an improved game for free and tgctours had no control over wind. Let's just play the cards we have been dealt and enjoy it. Who said that I do not like these wind conditions. I love them, find them extremely challenging. They bring the roughs into play and sometimes reward the defensive approach. I just do not like to be forced to play with these winds when others have played in moderate conditions. And that is the big difference to normal wind waiting: In the past, the "era of the mean wind waiters" I could always decide my fate. If I decided to play in the last hours of a tournament I knew that I could have had bad conditions. But I did not have to wait til the last moment. If I decided to wait for a different wind I could do so. But I could do otherwise if I wanted. It was my decision. In This tournament after the patch I had no choice. Since Wednesday evening I have to play in the worst conditions imaginable. If you do not see the difference to simple wind waiting "I can not quite believe that" either. I definitely think it would be fairest to cancel round 4. The more because we were informed that the patch would not have any influence on already running tournaments. But I am not expecting it to happen. I would not interfere in the tournaments if I was the administrator, too. But is it fair this way? Definitely not.
The only good thing is that the win was not really influenced by this. Nobody would have beaten this outstanding score of -48. And your -42 are a legit 2nd place. I definitely do not want to take anything away from these two great scores. So "congratulation" to both of you.

It's one round. Get over yourself. I've had to play in strong winds before due to not having enough free time to wait for calmer winds. Can't we cancel those rounds? Just put it down to bad luck and move on. Would you have wanted the round cancelled if it generated calm winds?

Nice 18 mph winds for the final round. Mostly crosswinds and headwinds. Happy with a 71. I gotta go get some more chapstick. My lips are windburned.

Wow shocked my -11 made the cut. I missed so many birdie putts and had about 5 bogeys. These types of green hardness are just not realistic. At least course dev put flags in places that allowed us to land 25 yards short and roll ball up. But when full wedges bounce forward 10 yards and roll another 10 is not realistic. 8 irons rolling 20 yards is insane. Please TGCT stop having us play greens like this. Give us real, realistic hard courses that don't need insane green bounce just to make it a difficult course. Green bounce and roll would only be like this in a British Open in Exreme dry conditions. And I hv only ever seen one of those on tv in my 49 years of watching and playing golf.
Couple of things...Which pins did you find to be inaccessible? On any single day in a normal tournament there can be a few that you really shouldn't play directly at. I really don't think that's the case on any of these holes. Also, it's quite an exaggeration to say that wedges are bouncing 10 yards. I've played this course dozens of times and have never seen that. Unless by chance it hit the backside of a mound.
I wrote at least dev put pins in places that allowed us to hit short and roll to hole. That was a nice change for courses that have unreastic bounce in greens. But that's not my point. Point is this setting of extreme firm greens in not realistic and thus I feel like I'm playing arcade golf and not real golf. There are plenty of courses that are tough enough without us playing these unrealistic greens. Lets play those instead.

-5 for round 4. Two stupid bogeys and some missed putt. Nearly everyone in front of me played round 4 under much better conditions. So I am somewhat disappointed. But T14 is not bad at all.

I just read it as you saying that the designer (me) should at least put them in accessible areas.

I didn't even play my final two rounds until today because I didn't think I'd make the cut. Wind in Rd 4 was pretty brutal.
