Had a great first 2 rounds carding -11 and -9.
Hoping that will hold me in T25 going into the cut

had a good week, -9, -13, -11, -9 for -42 total. I was hoping for a -40 so exceeded expectations. That said I've already been blown away by someone on the PS4 leaderboard, and its only early days. I left a few shots out there, as everyone always does, but not enough to catch up the current PS4 leader, who must have played absolutely unbelievably well, so congrats to them. Can't remember their name now though.

I am glad that I can say this after I carded one of the best rounds and easily the best putting performance of my career: I do not like this sort of course! It is without a doubt beautifully crafted but the brutally firm greens and fairways combined with the nastiest roughs I have ever played in are not a fine combination. Especially if you can not wait for a light wind from the back (on tee 1), which will help you on this course to avoid some traps and find the fairways. If you wait for the light winds it is at the end a putting and chipping contest. On many holes it is simply impossible to leave the ball close to the hole, even with the most precisely hit shot. I always prefer the courses which ask for the all around talent (like the great course from last week or the matsers tournament). This one is for the putters.

Can't remember their name now though. The current leader on PS4 played -48. But he was only -8 after round!. Nearly unbelievable to play -40 in three rounds on this course! I played -12 in round 1 and missed only one makeable putt (but hit 3-4 really tough ones I normally miss). I can hardly believe how to maintain this level for another 3 rounds. I hope to finish somewhere around the -40. But for that result I need some pitch ins or flop ins I did not have in round 1.

Yeah I was 3 shots ahead of disturbed after round 1. I hit -9 in round 2 which is a handy score and still ended up 3 shots behind him at the end of round 2!

I made this course and can assure you that you can get the ball close with well executed shots. You just can't play it he same as you would on a course with soft greens. Why would you? I completely get that not everyone likes these settings, but they are very playable. The scores are proof enough if that.

I really try a lot to play this course the right way: I shape the ball against the wind just to land the ball on the right side of the greens to get a enogh roll. I sometimes even take a longer iron with more loft to get some spin to keep it closer to the hole. So I think I use some imagination on this course. And that is great and the way it should be. So that part is real fun. But the margin of error is just too small for my taste. Good putting and chipping is always important, but imho too dominant on this course.
But do not get me wrong: It is just the firmness I do not like. Otherwise it is a beautifully crafted and designed course.

It was a consistent and pretty solid week for me, but I do have a bad taste in my mouth from a bogey on the 72nd hole. I shot 62, 63, 62, 62. I left quite a few shots out there every round and somehow didn't make a bogey the entire tournament until the 72nd hole despite some really bad irons I hit trying to be too cute by getting it close. I managed to make enough putts though to stay around where I wanted to for -39. I'm pretty mad I made bogey on the 18th to lose my -40 goal, but oh well, I got too aggressive. I played the par 5's -19 on 16 holes so that was pretty sweet. Loved the course. Very difficult to get it close and really need some precise shots. Unbelievable playing by Tyler Harris.

I think I hit 14/14 FIR and 18/18 GIR and missed a lot on the edge. Second round I was cruising. Had some nice 5 woods/3 irons into par 5s to setup Eagles. Was -11 through 10 and I got nervous haha. Of course I'll be eclipsed by Doyley/Sloaner. They'll hit -55 for sure.

I'm sure they'll challenge right around your score, but I doubt anyone really gets over -50. You should be right there challenging the win. Great shooting. It was crazy seeing you fly up the leaderboard on the 2nd round in ps4. lol

I had a horrid first round at 1 over. I fought back in round two with a -10, leaving me at -9 after two. I stopped there, thinking it won't be enough to make the cut. We'll see.

Had a great first round of -10 then did my usual and caved in with -7, -4 and -3.
Just a normal week for me but after the tourney i found something in my putting that i have been doing wrong (for my stroke anyway)
Putts seemed to be staying on the breaks and going in the middle instead of missing low all the time.
Hopefully i can put in a lot of practice and get my putting fixed.
