You've got a hell of a course. I'm really enjoying it. Friday and Saturday, I had low winds and shot -10,-7. Sunday, the wind picked up to 10-13 mph and it all went downhill. Managed a hole-out eagle on 16 and birdie on 18 to shoot even. The winds make all the difference here. The landing spots are so tight that high winds make it really tough to go low. I'm hoping the winds are around 7-10 in the tournament to make it a real fair challenge but still possible to shoot a nice score. That Friday setup is superb. Some really tight pins but you can go low if you're hitting your spots. If you aren't, you'll be in a lot of bunkers. lol

Played 3 of the four. Day two and three definitely are going to be days to pick up strokes if you can! Great setup.

Had a play of the Xbox practise tour yesterday - if the winds get up this will be carnage! Which is precisely what the US Open should be like - magnificent course!

If winds are up, the winner will be the one to keep a cool head throughout. It's real easy to let your emotions take you out of your game. How many rage quits do we see?

Played the practice tour last night. Shot -6 overall. I think playing all four rounds in one sitting hurt me...I was tired by the end.
Round 1: -6 (winds 6-7 mph) Round 2: -2 (winds 12-13mph) Round 3: +1 (winds 15-16mph) Round 4: +1 (winds 1-2mph)
Crazy that I couldn't shoot any better than +1 in 1 to 2 mph winds. Lesson for me is that I can fatigue in this game just like in real life.

So with the new wind update just in time for this tourney.. I'd be interested in seeing how the winds are for different folks on different platforms across the four rounds.

Well practicing round 1 in 14mph wind. Just a note, you CANNOT hit hole 1 in 2 with that head wind.

nope. If you have a headwind on 1 you will on 7 as well so beware of that one too. Slightly to the side...but still in your face.
6 will be a BEAR in that wind. Good luck holding the green...
the drive on 18 gets much harder as well...
YAY WIND!

Is it me or is the drive on Hole 8 very tricky. If you are slightly off you are in trouble.

it is certainly tricky. It slopes left to right so err on the left side if you have too. Although the longest shots will hug the bunker on the right edge.
It's made to give you a safe shot SHORT if you want it. It's a par 5 for members...that was my idea when I made it anyway.

What were the winds SUPPOSED to be in your mind. I don't think you can set your winds in tournies nor can you set a range, so I'm imagining it will be based on the luck of the draw when you publish them.
16mph head wind on one is a guarantee at least two par 4 holes you can't reach in 2.

If it ends up being the same for everyone, so what?
