This course is so hard to score on. I think I average about -4 per round so I need to up my game to get anywhere near contending here.
There are so many putts that move in directions that don't look that way at all. I think lots of practice is needed to work out all the little subtle breaks on these greens.
My best round so far is -6, missed a 9 footer last night for a -7.
Here's a nice shot to finish with on 18 last night.
The video doesn't seem to be showing up? Here's a link to it anyway.

Very very difficult course with my best score so far being -6 and worst being -1.
You can go from playing well on a stretch of holes to grinding out pars on the next few.
It's a tough 18 holes which need to be respected.

So after some play testing: Day one is going to be the setup you're playing now. Day two is going to be Rainy and softer...but the pins are going to be tucked tight and you'll need to be on your approach game to get birds Day three is going to be clear and the greens will actually be a TOUCH faster...however the pin positions are much more accessible for the most part. This is your day to go grab a score. Day four is going to be the day one setup with a few modified tees and a couple of pin adjustments...but it will feel familiar so you can have at it.
You're going to need a decent start I think to get into contention.

You're going to need a decent start I think to get into contention. It sounds like a good formula. Round 1 and 4 will be the toughest. Hope for a good round one with the hard conditions. Round two you can either play aggressive if you need some shots for the cut or to be in real contention, or if you had a really good round you can play it a little safer. I'm confused when you say round three will be a TOUCH faster. I thought there were only two settings of firmness Hard and Medium. Does this mean day two you'll make the greens Medium firmness and Medium speed while on Saturday, Medium firmness but Fast speed? If so, you are right, this is the day people need to put a huge score up to take advantage of the course. Round four is going to be hold on to your hats day.

Right now the course you're playing is about 4pm on the firmness scale and about 3pm on speed. Speed settings seem to be MORE than three based on the distance listing. Right now the distance on your putter will say like 163 ft I think. Day 3 it will say 174 ft. THAT is a touch faster. Firmness will not be changed on day 3 or 4. The only day firmness is dialed back is day 2 and it will be right around NOON on the dial.

Well in that case, if firmness of Day 3 is like Day 1, I don't expect the scores to be that low in comparison.

Sounds good to me. really looking forward to playing this with the different pin placements. Hope I can pull it out in round 2 as my short game is usually pretty good

Based on the testing Doyley and I have done I would say scores should improve day 3 even if the wind is slightly stronger. The pins are more accessible which means shorter puts that are generally straighter. He and I both scored better on day 3 (he was better by 5 shots I believe). day 2 is actually quite difficult...but softer. If you are a guy that can really dial it in on approach you'll have an advantage. Good shortgame will help too.
