didnt have much time for practice this week and regardless i still like to bash my rounds out early so i only managed to complete one practice round shooting -11 which was alrite, on to the event and i sort of had one eye on the match play next week so it wasnt all fireworks for me. Only managed 64, 66 first two rounds so could be in trouble with the cut, played the last 2 in 20 under for a -34 finish, havent got a clue how this will go because this course can bite! good luck everyone! early trip to the challenge club for me, bring it on!!!

I think cut will be around -12 at most so you'll be fine. -34 is a respectable total and should be top 10-20 you'd think. Think winner will be around -40 maybe on -36 tho. Like you say it can bite. I'm aiming for -7 a round and I'll be content.

Really struggled with this course and didn't get on with it at all. Tons of 94% shots - pretty clear as I was playing that some was due to frame rate issues. Had a nightmare triple on the 17th during the 3rd round - also hoping that -11 makes the cut!
Jules, that score will see you with another great week - you're having a bit of a run at the moment!
I need to practise for the Matchplay I think...

Glad that's done..... Thought I would try and play it with my boys watching. Wow!!! Lesson learned and never again. -5,-2,+3,+4 Even par total. Haha. Gotta laugh or I'll bust something 1st round they actually were good and thought I was a little unlucky with -5 with 4 putts falling short on the lips of the holes. 2nd round and by the 9th I was breaking up arguments over who was sitting on my lap to who could find anymore animals in the trees and asking me to look for them every shot..... Aaaaargh!!!! Subsequently just rushed through the remainder of my round and following rounds. Took an 8 on hole 2 of my final round by rushing and over lofting my SW and putting 3 back in the water off the cliff face short.... Must say tho that I am not a fan at all of slow greens, far to much to accustom to after the greens we are used to on the quicker side normally. I see the points made about firm/slow and feel it works well with approach shots and rollout and the like but just the putting feels terrible on them..... Good luck to all and I'll see a lot of you next week at the Matchplay..... Sigh!!!! Time for a stiff drink or 5 and to find something else for the boys to do.....

I have had a couple of practice rounds and the best I could manage was -2!!. I don't know why but I really am struggling on this course, it just doesn't seem to suit my game at all. Still I will give it my best shot. Good luck to everyone playing this week.

I will be sweating on the cut at -10 for my first 2 rounds but looking at the scoring so far actually think it will be ok. Did better in my final two rounds and ended -24. -6 per round is reasonable around here, but i was hoping for better after some good practice just before i started. 17 caught me out twice, got up and down once but made a 5 the other time Agree about the slow greens, after recent events it was like putting through treacle in comparison

Agree about the slow greens, after recent events it was like putting through treacle in comparison I couldn't agree more. Found it difficult to judge the pace, kept leaving everything short in my first round. Got the hang of them by the second round and scored much better. Tough scoring course though!!

I have only practiced this course so far, around -6 average. I must say that this course is quite stunning to look at. Lots of little details. Love the Bigfoot sandtrap feet on one of the holes.

these greens were like hitting a carpet on top of hardwood or concrete. Rock hard to land on but then you putt and it is like jello. It didnt match up and really bothered me a lot and killed my rounds. Cool looking course, hated the greens.

To me this course is a lil tougher than Happy Yeti and -12 was the cut there with a lot stronger field also at Yeti. Im thinking -8 to -10 will make it to Sat. Also agree with a lot of the above comments about the slower greens taking a lil time to adjust to. I played my fair share of practice rounds all of them -5, -7 nothing worse nothing better. Its a good course just doesn't fit my eye well. The way some of the approach shots bounce and roll and then the putts come up short is kinda off, but overall its ok, imo. Uphill putting is killing me. Just hoping I make the cut and that I don't catch hurricane force winds in the morning for rounds 1 and 2. Good luck to all. Big purse this week!!!

Front hole location and that silly drop off is the only black mark on an otherwise great course. I was destined to miss the cut anyway this week. -4 after 2 rounds
