I'm a big fan of reasonable goals. No point in disappointing myself. Especially at a level where I'm focused more on having fun than worrying about how competitive I am. Understood - just joking around. We try and just have fun down here on the BCT, though I guess that might not exactly be what has been showing lately. Basic rule of thumb is to never take anything I say all that seriously. If it feels like there is a chance that something I say was intended to be sarcastic, I can guarantee it was meant to be sarcastic. And yes. I had been noticing a less than fun tone around here recently.

Started out hot. The finish, not-so-much. Came home at -30. This course has not agreed with my eye from day 1 and I found this to be a bit of a slog. Oh well, it is what it is.
I'm strongly considering Q-school next week. One of the big reasons I left PGA was the tone, tenor and lack of camaraderie and good sportsmanship in the threads. I'm beginning to notice the same trend here.

I'm beginning to notice the same trend here. So sad but true, it's such a shame that BCT has gone down this road because it really was the most fun tour.

Everybody considering leaving the same week that I start here because this place has gone downhill. I can't help but feel offended.

Finished my 2nd round. It was a contrast from round one as it wasn't mistake free but I was also making some shots I shouldn't have been. Highlight was dropping a 54 foot, uphill putt with some very serious break. The kind of shot that easily could have become a 3 putt, so I'll take the one putt any day. Otherwise it felt less consistent than round 1 but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Will withhold my score for now.

Is this where people are supposed to cry and say ‘don’t go’?
LMAO

Not too happy with my 2nd round because of a couple of really poor bogies. I three-putted a green because I was rushing and made a lazy read. And another from a terrible chip attempt that rocketed past the hole.
Everything else I was pretty happy with including a few chip-ins from the fringe. Hard not to focus on the ones that went sideways though.
Finished -10 leaving me -24 at the half way point.

Might move back to PC I think, seems none of the top guys play there so I can avoid Yaters scores getting in my head on XB like happened this week. Also forgot how much better the game looks on PC.
Happy with my second round, was the only one of the four I felt I made my fair share of putts. Didn’t really like the course, for whatever reason it just didn’t suit my eye. I suspect it was the large elevation changes. I have a decent formula for them, but I just don’t like them as much as the more realistic Lidar type courses. Anyone ever played a RL course with multiple huge elevation changes like that?

I beat you by a stroke in round 2 but at -19 thus far I still have some work ahead of me if I'm to finish one stroke back of you at the end of the week. I had one bogey which also came from a terrible chip attempt that rocketed past the hole. I did hole out a flop shot on 16 for an eagle(eagles are tough with beginner clubs, I've noticed) so that really helped my score for the day.

Round 2 played and made a few errors as well as having a slight lag issue which affected my swing tempo.
Major elevation changes with wind that's opposite to the fairway slope seem to be the theme for these first events. I will muddle through this one and hopefully finish well.
The only real highlight from the round was this eagle on the short par 4 16th:

i just wanted to apologize for my behavior recently as i feel i am one of the main contributors to bringing the tone down on this tour. sometimes i just have one of those days, and i just want to vent it out. this clearly isnt the place to do it, so going forward i will try to keep it light and vent elsewhere. it was never my intention to run anyone off this tour with my bulls*$& and i feel 80% responsible for the feelings some of you have. i also feel these forums posts dont reflect me as a person, as i am usually a laid back, make a lot of jokes kind of guy. and i have realized on here i just seem like a bitter a*$ hat.
good luck to all this season.
