Hello I was once DQ because of my short swing. Since I try to do the necessary never to have this problem. I admit that I had to train to understand what not to do. It was not easy and that's why I did not play the PGA Major. I think my features are a lot less straight forward but I will get used to them. I played very well this week but I was also very lucky. What I mean is that it's not nice to be DQ because of the short swing. Because in my opinion it's not a cheat but a way to play. It is true that it is already difficult to fight with the controller to keep the tempo and make straight strokes, in addition to that it is necessary to think to make a full swing But when I see the work that administrators do to make this game fair, you're right to fight to eliminate the bandits. We know there are cheats on all video games. But on TGC there is a real police! Some make a scandal about the scores of Rawesy, Blueorfe, Cusehokie and others, I rather try to understand how they managed to play as well. At present I have a real pleasure to play next to them ... Apart from that, I would like to thank my coach Fadgewaker who once again prepared me well for this event Long live the TGC But you see and that’s the key word there “since I try to never have this happen again” kudos bro because you took the initiative to change.

The superlatives that came out of mouth are floating in space forever above the living room , haha

Well, it seems the lynch mob has spoken so I have removed Liam from the leaderboard and deactivated his site account. Frankly, I am tired of dealing with him and his attitude anyway, so he's made his own bed. Unfortunate that you see it this way entirely, assuming you weren't being sarcastic or joking. You asked a question, I tried to answer and provide an opinion based on my experience as a player here for the past few years. My intention was not to pick up a pitch fork and scream and yell for justice with an absolute, outright demand.
I know there's a lot of bullshit that flies in pga threads these days, but hopefully that doesn't completely erode the ability of members to put forth reasoned, sensible, well-mannered opinions of topics of controversy - which was all I was trying to do, sorry if it came off differently, I don't want to be a part of the "problem" around here...
I too am sorry if you see it that way. For me if I were to fail the API I'd be freaking out, wondering what I have done wrong and going nuts to be trying as many things as I could in varying tournaments and begging admin to give me feedback to make sure I wasn't going to miss it again. If I were to miss it again, then I would have no choice but to look at my hardware. Failing once is an accident. Twice it is really unfortunate but by the third time in a season, that starts looking like a trend.
I think we all can see in our own minds hat if we were failing API after API we'd be trying anything and everything to get the swing fair again but I think you nailed it with Liam, he wasn't taking the advice and words of the community to heart. Instead it seemed that he was flinging his greatness in our faces and denying there was even a problem and somehow he was the victim, and finally to fix it he started to graciously miss purposely just to give us mortals a fighting chance. The best metaphor I can come up with is that he spat in the face of his brothers and then again in the face of his gods.
I go back to the suggestion that if someone is struggling with the API, there are forums there designed to offer help and private discussions with the admin. Use it. Be forthcoming and if you are going to test something new, inform the admin and try it on one of the other tours as so it won't effect the tour you are on. If all else fails, there are plenty here on the PGA who have shared in your pain and may offer some ideas. NOTE: if you choose this option be ready for criticism and having to share videos or screen shots of your shots. I just ask those here on the PGA to make it constructive advice and not acquisitions. Not everyone has the fund to buy one or two extra controllers and many are truly lost as to why they are failing.
By the way did we take out the forum where people could request their API data? If so do we still just ask or message an admin?

Yes Burton...Only one time.... and Before I didn't know the existence of the short swing... The first time where I was DQ it's because I played with another joystick at the begining of this season.... That's all my friend...At least all is clear.. All the best...

In my opinion getting DQ'ed 7 tournaments is officially a trend, not an outlier. I don't like seeing people being banned but may be the right call in this case. The admins do the best they can with the info provided to them and it's not easy being in their seat so I commend them for that. We as players need to do the best we can to play within the rules and not skirt the system. Outside of that the admins can only do what the info around them shows them. I think us all working together (and yes even discussing in these forums) is what's best to make sure everyone is as happy as possible.
As far as the tournament for me:
-9 in the first round, which was good for me. Missed some short putts but all in all not a bad round -15 the second round, which was amazing for me lol. Really hit the ball well, and my putting came back to me which has been a struggle the past few weeks. Hopefully this persists for the last 2 rounds
So -24 after 2 and in the mix!
Also glad to see more XB1 guys making the cut and playing well. I've seen a lot of their scores starting to improve and I think it's just a testament to them continuing to try to improve their game. I know I keep trying so that I can compete with the best players, even the PS4 guys! Good luck for everyone out there and cheers to a great community here in TGCT!

When I played my 2nd round I really thought -15 would be the cut line. Glad I was able to birdie the final four holes after a bogey. I think saved me, but heck, -16 may not be safe at this point.

Back after a 3/4 month hiatus, needed a break from the game after years of solid play. Felt refreshed, almost like having to learn the game again, and in the first round it showed with a pathetic -4, but got a bit of a groove the second to go -12 and scrape the cut. -8 R3 with another to go, just happy to finish anywhere really having made the cut, itll take time to find my rhythm again. What have i missed you bunch of schmucks?

Finished up round 4, with a score that's 1 shot behind the leader...after round 3.
Seems like it's been a year or more since I've actually been able to compete at the top end of this field. Honestly don't know what's changed, it doesn't feel like I should be this far off the pace, but I clearly am not anywhere near as good relative to others as I was at the start of the season. The logical explanation is that everyone else has gotten better and I've stayed the same, but I actually thought that I'd gotten better at a few things along the way, and don't feel that I've dropped off in form that much - it's just a odd thing to experience, I guess.
GL to everyone left to finish, and some great playing by you fellas at the top.
