So what happens if PC and X1 users are allowed to use pro clubs even if they are on Web, Euro, or the PGA?

Last PGA event from the top 52+ties 48 PS4 (90.5%) 5 PC (9.5%) 0 XB1 (0%) Top XB1 player was 68th I do believe having that leaderboard that you can break up by console on the site would be cool just so that people can see it and you can know where you stand on your own console. Sure, for now PS4 players rule the roost on the PGA tour, but think about how cool it would be to see a XB1 player win on PGA? I think that's a story worth telling. May not be an ESPN 30 for 30 or anything, but still a cool story Splitting tours eliminates that possibility for that kind of awesome accomplishment. Would it be possible to have some form of the opposite of the beginner tour, at the very top?
Like, the beginners have to specifically say they want to be in that tour, if I'm not mistaken.
So with the setup that Doyley posted they are thinking of, Could they put one more tour at the very top, for the ones that do want to compete against other platforms, and make it where its invite only, acceptance only, and only qualified people are even invited? just brainstorming.

Simply filtering the standings isn't enough; it doesn't actually solve the problem which is that players on PC and XBox cannot reasonably compete with PS4 players. They cannot reasonably expect to make the top Tour. And so, you cannot reasonably compare players.
Is someone who shoots -40 on XBox better than a player who shoots -50 on PS4? I don't know, and you cannot reasonably compare.
As far as segregating tours by club set - I would like to see it in Challenge Circuit only, and have both the Pro and Master CC Tours promote into Web.com where Masters are required (segregated by platform) for all players.
I guess that disproportionately affects PC and XBox players, so maybe they have better insight into the idea of playing a Pro-Club-Only CC Tour that feeds into the same Web.com tour as the Master-Club-Only CC Tour does.
There's a lot of "ifs" with this idea. I am not necessarily against it, or steadfast on certain conditions. I'm part of that PS4 privileged group. This proposal basically makes it (very) marginally easier to reach the PGA (by removing the very best XBox and PC players from my path) while making it more difficult to climb WGR (as more XBox and PC players will be earning more points by playing in their own PGA/Euro tours).
As a side note, this could impact how we schedule and set up events. Just wondering how this would be handled in an event administration sense.

So what happens if PC and X1 users are allowed to use pro clubs even if they are on Web, Euro, or the PGA? They would be in their own Pro-Club-Only PGA (EDIT: WITH PS4 PRO CLUB USERS), separate from the Masters-Club-Only PGA.

If it levels the playing field more, why not try to make it as fair as it can be? Oh wait, you're one of the "privileged" PS4 guys so I understand your response 😉😉

As Doyley pointed out, the data shows that there is not a significant difference among the platforms while using Pro Clubs. That difference only has an impact with Master Clubs.

To be fair the Pro club swing on Xbox is the same (or as near as damn it) to the other consoles. Eg, a lot easier than the Masters swing even on PS4. That wouldn't work.

So then maybe mandatory clubs isn't the way to go. It pains me to say that but it also pains me to know I will never really get a fair shake even if I get to the PGA.

What we're doing now doesn't work either, though. Trust me, it pains me to see it this way because I have been so pumped to get to Web so I could play with everyone using Master's clubs but it's not going to be the experience I thought it was going to be

Remember this game is still (allegedly) a work in progress. We might get another patch at some point or (more likely) we might get a new game. Then maybe all this will be moot. Maybe...
In the meantime if you enjoy the game keep going. You're one tick away from Web, I plan to get there myself. Making cuts with Masters clubs against all the players from all platforms is something to aim for. And it isn't impossible to do better, there have been 2 Xbox winners on Pro tours this season and one last week only lost on countback in Web. It can be done! It's difficult but not impossible, and that just means if you can get any success it would be that bit sweeter. That gets taken away if we split the consoles on tour, we might as well just play society events if that was the case. It's the multi-platform that makes this place what it is.

So then maybe mandatory clubs isn't the way to go. It pains me to say that but it also pains me to know I will never really get a fair shake even if I get to the PGA. The idea of the OP is that all players are competing with players using the same clubs... there would just be 4 PGAs, 4 Euros, etc. Data shows that platform doesn't matter with Pro ir Beginner clubs. You're not at a disadvantage. Data does show that PS4 is at a significant, irreconcilable advantage with Master Clubs. My suggestion is to continue to enforce the idea that the best players should still be using the hardest settings. I design on PC, so I am well aware of how Master Clubs behave there. I could not, for the life of me, imagine trying to compete using them, even if everyone else had the same handicap. I just find it too frustrating to be enjoyable. So, I am on the fence about it. The idea of having 4 distinct tours - 4 Masters winners, 4 FedEx Cups... I am not high on either. But I'm not convinced one was is certainly better than any other. Have my leanings, but certainly far from sure.

Maybe HB/2K will address the discrepancy in the next game. One can hope, right?

If this was really about leveling the playing field - TGCT would just mandate pro clubs for all, because Masters Clubs ARE BUGGED.
But that won't happen. Fact remains though, that would be the easiest fix.

because Masters Clubs ARE BUGGED. I agree. I'm often surprised when i see xboxers say "i like the added the difficulty" (which is fine they like it), but to me randomness isn't a difficulty setting. Unfortunately i don't see any good answer to fix all this, and we can only hope that the next version (when/if) that ever happens balances the different platforms gameplay.

It's crazy to me that people would rather fragment and restructure the entire site around a bugged implementation of a clubset, than simply not use the bugged clubset at all.
