Probably should have a meeting about this thread to discuss it then have another meeting to discuss it again. Then do nothing or @!$# up what works
Corporate America playbook.

Cue the howls of "But Masters clubs can't compete against Pro clubs!" that we hear constantly down in CC. If the argument is 'level playing field' - then we have to actually play on the level field. So are you suggesting the field is level now? Ofc the fields aint lvl...xbox are low..pc medium..ps easy.ps mega easy short swing

It absolutely positively needs to happen!! Xbox and PS4 console players have a distinct advantage as the winners of pretty much every single week are not on Steam. The data speaks for itself clearly. Not sure why this has even taken so long to talk about or consider since it's been blatantly obvious for quite some time now. Truly What's Goin On!?

Xbox and PS4 console players have a distinct advantage I'm guessing you didn't see the stats posted in this thread? XB1 players definitely do not have any advantage lol, they're bottom of the scrap heap by a long way... Talking about master clubs only to be fair, that's where the huge differences are, the stats are roughly the same across platforms for the other club sets, which are in any case meaningless to discuss because they're so easy.

I've played every week this season and watched every WGO show and I've seen with my own eyes that the winners 85% (or higher) of the time are NOT on steam. I don't really know how or why anyone is trying to refute this fact. Secondly, to say that anything less than masters clubs is easy is quite pompous and shows the true colors of what the guys in the high castle think of the "peasants". Master clubs are fictitious in the distance you get out them thus rendering them not a true sim at all either.

I'll take official stats of the entire playerbase from the TGCT admins over your memory of WGO streams lol

solution is simple:
PC players have to play with an arm behind their back and one eye closed.
ps4 players can only play using their feet.
xbox players don't try any of these as it may result in serious injury.

Given the fact that PS4 players are so far ahead makes this even more important to fix! Pretty sure this has been very obvious for a few months so why no action? Why are the platforms not separated to begin with? The game will never be the same on all three platforms so why do the players have to swim in the same pool? And the fact that console players win nearly ever week IS the point of this conversation! Why else would people care?

I don't have the latest stats but I'm pretty sure that there are 4-5 times as many console players as PC players.

I don't know how long you've been around (and I'm also not sure you're trolling?), but in the first two versions of TGC this wasn't really an issue. All 3 platforms playing together on a cross platform leaderboard has always been the whole point of this place. This version has clearly been an issue but a lot of us are reluctant to let that go. Nothing is going to happen before next season anyway, I agree with others in let's see what happens between now and then. If there's light at the end of the tunnel then we just ride this out and hope the good times come back for us on Xbox (and PC), if not then there's a decision to make.

Think we've gotten plenty of feedback and everyone has had a chance to give their input that wanted to. So instead of letting this linger on for a long period of time, I'm going to close it down while everyone still has their wits about them. At this point, we're not making any drastic changes but we can still try to tinker here/there to make the best of what we do have.
I'll look into system filters for WGR and leaderboards - will help you see how you stack up against your own system. I'm sure Tim can whip those up next time he gets into the code. We're also planning on a tweak to how we give out promotions on the Challenge Circuit that will help Master Club users.
