I'll provide the alternative PC view then: tempo is actually getting worse. Summed up by me only getting under par for the event at 15th (and that was by holing a bunker shot) Yet another terrible missed cut at -7 total. PC is just too brutal- I had 11 straight iron shots with either fast or slow downswings. It’s like there is no middle ground to be found. I can’t put up -10 or better on any course anymore. I bombed 3 or 4 putts just to shoot -4 in the first round

The course is playing excellent Joe! I love the challenge, just wish I had PS4 tempo so I may actually make a cut some day.
Sucks to see Larry switch to the dark side. I refuse to buy another console just to play on tours. Anticipating the day I get placed on a tour I belong so I can play more than 2 rounds a week.

I refuse to buy another console just to play on tours. Anticipating the day I get placed on a tour I belong so I can play more than 2 rounds a week. Just dipping my toes in the dark side for now I don't like PS4 visuals nor how infuriatingly slow everything is in the game (the loading screen to play a course feels like several minutes compared to PC!), I can't stand the DS4 feel, and I really hate that I can't putt. It almost feels like a chore to turn the PS4 on and play tbh. No.1 factor for me as to whether I stick with it is whether I can find a new technique within the next month to keep my putts consistently within the cone. Quite a big psychological issue actually - I don't think "woohoo perfect tempo" when I get one, because it's what I expect anyway, but I do think "you useless mother*******!!!" when I shank a putt. Same thing with scrambling, I feel a sense of satisfaction getting up and down after a crappy approach, but if my approach is close and I 2-putt it just makes me angry with myself. Same hole score, completely different emotional reactions. Edit: tried using a sideways chess piece motion rather than up and down for my TST round just now and was much straighter than yesterday. Scored -11, not a single bad tempo and 19.0ft average proximity. On TST. Jesus Christ lads. Edit 2: ah crap, I switched my TGCT profile to my PS4 username on Saturday, but when I hover over my name it's still showing me as being on PC... must have done something wrong, hoping the admin wizards can sort out.

-18 after two rounds and will safely make cut, R3 & R4 were just a laugh...so many tree’s clipped either off the tee or on approach shots...finished -15 or summit? 🤣

Good course. Liked how u had to work the ball off the tee instead of just blasting away and ending up in the middle everytime.
I can't tell u how many times I missed a FW by 1 foot; which was frustrating. But I enjoyed there being no 1st cut of rough. HUGE difference between 89-94% and 66-73%....at least 1/3 of a shot difference imo. Wish more designers did this since driving is so easy in this game.
Also enjoyed the over-hanging trees. Drilled 2 of them which led to 2 of my 4 bogeys in the tourney.
In at -38. Should be a top 10. Still missing countless minimal breaking 10 to 15 footers which is destroying me every week. Only 81% scrambling which is just complete trash. That can't happen with the competition here.
Lost tournament in round 1. Fast downswing city all round including 3 on 20-30 yard flops that cost me 3 easy birdies.
Had a nice 2 hole stretch at end of round 2. Ace on 17 and then holing out from 185 on 18 for eagle. Which didn't hurt. Lol.
Anyways, good luck to all those still to play!
Edit: Terrific to see separate rounds with high and very high winds. So much fun to play instead of the tournament becoming a dart throwing contest.

R1: -8 The choice of 1I 3I and 5I was not a good one. I had gaps several times when going into greens and the 3I cut through the wind a lot more than I expected and rolled out a ton. R2: -10 Switched up to 2H 5H and 7H for the rest of the tourney. Solid, if not spectacular round. R3: - 5 Bogey free, too. Held on to my hat, butt, and whatever else I could in the wind. Couldn't get close or make putts. R4: -14 Putter caught fire, and the bounces went my way. -37 total and mostly happy with that total. Cracking track! Good luck to all yet to play or with rounds to finish! That’s some solid ball striking in R4.

Other notable absentees that usually play early are Rob Rgason (again) and Ben Schell (again)

My R2 didn't pass as I had too many clustered shots in one area. Am working with them and trying another Dualshock 4 I have for backup to see if that makes a difference in another Society event or if I need to change up how I swing altogether.
TST Masters last week I was out of the cone/channel on the right side more than usual, so when I played this event I was paying closer attention to that.

My round 1 of the Masters passed, but my round 2 got flagged, which I was in shock over. I played terribly and couldn't believe it. But I was told that some of the DS4's develop "dead zones" I had to ask what that was, cause I have never heard of that before. Anyway, it seems that some of the DS4's won't register correctly is what I was told. All I ever use is standard DS4 controllers, and I have NEVER had an issue, so I was really in shock. I used an old DS4 from TGC1, but it seems I can't use that one anymore. I then played a round in the EURO event with another older DS4 controller to make sure that one was ok, and they said it was, but it did have some abnormalities?? So, I don't know what's going on with some of these controllers, but it's not just you. But, it seems somethings not right if you're like me shooting no better than -8 and not passing API?? Good luck.

This was rather unfortunate...fast downswing resulted in barely clipping one of those "worlds strongest tree leaves" which left me here Pretended I was out on the range with the draw/fade stick stuck in the ground and played it left with a big cut. Came up well short, but got up-and-down for par, just didn't want to risk hitting it off the marker and making things worse. Anyway, pretty good 1st round, and didn't play badly in round 2 - one of those rounds where the final score doesn't totally reflect the relative quality of play - but it's all good. I love this course, easily in my top 5 favorite to play due to the things it requires you to do on certain shots if you want to play aggressive, just can't say enough good things about it. Going to need 2 really solid rounds to bring it home to a respectable finish, but with the gap between ps4 and us "others" seemingly growing by the week, I'm not really sure how to evaluate my finishes these days.
