Hey GW, I tried your tip of letting go of the stick as soon as I hit the plastic. What do you think of these swing lines? It actually felt more rhythmic swinging this way. No fishtails really. I just worry about being too straight. The flick gives me more deviation I think. Crikey. That was with a DS4? Yes. A DS4. But like I said it was way different on the course.

Crikey. That was with a DS4? The rare Fadge Crikey has come out twice in the past couple of days, just shows how special Masters week is!

You get these type of swing lines if your DS4 is new to fairly new and if you have your swing under control. Now if you can bring that swing in tournament play and what the will API think of it, that's another story! From experience, when you swing like that you kinda always borderline triggering it!

For reference sake (because I'll look back at this for my own stats in the future): I am at 28.9 ft (884 shots).
One other reference is Brad (blueorfe) at 28.2 ft (1100 shots). CJ Doane @ a full 11ft per approach closer than Brad. Heck. That Japanese fella can knock it close now he's sorted his API problems too. Crikey. Yeah that’s a joke. I’m no where near that close on approach shots

Well, that was an enormous let down, didn't even make -40. By far the most tempo issues I've ever had in a single event, which has been happening much much more in the past week, for whatever reason. Pretty disheartening, finishing so damn far back, but I was never really "on" other than for a stretch in that 2nd round. GL to all left to finish, and great playing by you ps4 guys.

I was able to open the tourney with a good round and went down hill from there. Hoping for a top 25 at this point.

I may have sucked this week, but it looks like I had the longest drive at 395y!

There was definitely something weird going on last night with tempo on PC - although I missed the cut, I played R3/4 just after you did (Steam notified me you were on) - round 3, I had literally 2 shots the whole round that were P/P - couldn't do anything at all, and shot +4!!! Then went off for 30 mins - came back and shot a dead easy -11 in R4 - just the 15 shot swing, doing nothing different at all!
Very strange.

I would never have a round of all perfect downswings on XB1. Just not possible. However, I try to take that into account on my shots, particularly approach shots. I don't often get very fast. Typically, I'll get perfect/fast if not perfect/perfect. So I try to aim a little right (right-handed) and play it a little short to compensate if I'm not feeling confident in the tempo. When I feel I can get the p/p I can go right at it. Which is probably why my proximity to the hole is 29 ft or so because of the compensation I put into play. When I'm dialed in I can get it pretty close. It's definitely on a round by round basis. I shot -11 in the first round and -14 in the final round. So the scores are out there on xbox. Finding it consistently proves to be a challenge. I would think that challenge would be there at least some for all platforms though.

Interesting, you're not the first XB1 player I've seen who compensates aim and distance for fast downswings because they happen so often. Shouldn't have to do that if the game was correct on all 3 platforms, but on the other hand this is what a winning gaming mentality is all about so I have a lot of admiration for it - no moaning about how things should be, instead you adapt to how things are, whether you like them or not.

Well Mr. Garcia. After so long of being in the top 3 of the WGR, it is nice to see that you finally (presumably) won this major. With your Open Championship last year you only got two more to go! Great win.

I am not sure how that proximity stat is calculated but I am certain it is not the average distance from the hole in regulation. I would just disregard it as a measure of good ball striking and look at GIR which is pretty well correlated with success
