If there's the time and inclination, could someone on PS4 and XB1 provide a list of proximity to hole stats on the PS4 PGA society for say top 10 regular (minimum 300 shot sample size) players please ? Would be really interesting to see, these are the PC rankings for proximity to hole on the PGA society: 1. AFCTUJacko | 24.1ft (492 shots)
2. Fuzion | 26.2ft (384 shots)
3. hydeoutsnd | 26.6ft (388 shots)
4. tio.montour | 28.2ft (376 shots)
5. Greenbrownie | 28.9ft (488 shots)6. TimT | 29.6ft (380 shots)7. Big_smooth_one | 29.7ft (876 shots) 8. Gemini | 30.2ft (504 shots) 9. Top 6 are on the prev page for XBox, I’ll finish it up tomorrow. I don’t really know who’s who, so if there’s people you want me to pick up regardless of shots let me know.

Not much difference I can see. PC actually looks the worst to me but small sample size for Xbox . I find the game about right for difficulty on PS4 except for woods which are a bit generous in accuracy. I have another question, probably sensitive but it’s not meant as an attack. I really want to know. I have been curious if the swing style of those that have converted to PS4 from Xbox. Do you use a flick or full swing? I am only asking because I wonder if that is part of the issue between the systems. I read on HB a person bought a chronusmax and an Xbox controller and tried it on a ps4 and notice no difference in tempo or results. This person uses a full swing. I also remember talk of people trying the flick on HB but said it was too difficult to control tempo. Ironically they were using Xbox. So like I said I don’t care at this point how you swing, beyond that. But I would like to know if that is where we are seeing the difference between systems.

I flick and try to gently knick the plastic on the follow through. This gets me full or full enough lines I guess. Because if I use my old TGC2 swing and hit the plastic hardish, I get flags or fishtails at the end of the swing. I never had that flag/fishtail issue on XBox TGC 2019, just struggled with the tempo.

Has anybody tested the proximity to the hole stat? There is a recent post on HB stating somebody manually calculated it for a round and it wasn’t close to the game stat. To reply above: Yes I get the fishtail flags often but I have over time let go as soon as I get the top. Annoying! The flick is more of an assisted spring return so to say. What is peculiar is that when I mess with it I find a short line gives perfect downswing and a longer line will give a fast almost as though the length of the flick correlates to tempo. There has to be some type of timing and averaging going on. I don’t flick but want to understand it so I mess with it on occasion. I won’t use it for fear of the API.

I actually get straighter lines when I smack the plastic but the frequent fishtails affect the ball like a slow or fast downswing tempo. I'm always tinkering to get a mix of the best of both swing techniques. However you swing, I think you do need a light touch to do well.

So in sum: I'm not in the top 6 of xbox players, and 4ft outside of the top 10 on ps4...what?!?

I think the speed of the joystick on the follow through determines the tempo. I can get fasts whenever I want to by really flicking it quick. The only time I get slows is when I get nervous and hesitant with the downswing.

Really interesting stats. I'd also love to see all the strokes gained metrics, those would be the most telling, but understand they may be too complex for our overlords to code, assuming the requisite data is made available by HB.

Probably too difficult to code but I reckon it'll be pretty clear that putting holds a premium on scoring. Very few among that list of dart-throwers are truly big names when it comes to scoring. Hippy, Crawesy, Mitch and Dave nowhere to be seen, my assumption would be, as in your case, that their putting stats are on another level compared to the dart throwers.

I think that stat is broke. Besides reaching Par 5 in two can really throw off the stat when you have 60ft putts There is no way Brad averages 28ft. Lol

Hey GW, I tried your tip of letting go of the stick as soon as I hit the plastic. What do you think of these swing lines? It actually felt more rhythmic swinging this way. No fishtails really. I just worry about being too straight. The flick gives me more deviation I think.
