Well - since we have not PLAYED Ardoilean - yes - why not. Ardoilean hosted CC-Pro events in Week 33. There were over 200 events run by TGCTours over the course of season 5; I am partly responsible for 84 of them. I don't expect everyone to like every course we choose. That's not possible. That means that there is a really good chance that you won't like at least one of the selections. This is your week. OOPS - missed that - OF COURSE - I was on vacation that week. LOL sigh. It's all good - My buddy and I played the one in question for 5 holes and clicked off so maybe I was channeling his inner issues with the course along with mine. What @lions67 said is EXACTLY what this thread started out to be and what I have been hoping for.

Well - since we have not PLAYED Ardoilean - yes - why not. This goes ALL THE WAY BACK to the OP. There are so many GREAT courses that never get played. Why play new average courses when there are so many great ones! Just because something is new does not give it a reason to have to play it. and YES - I understand its a free thing - I have volunteered in the past and understand it's "work" and a labor of love and all that . . . but this before Ardoilean and so many awesome courses out there? and REALLY ErixonStone - I do appreciate all you guys do. I'm not as "angry" as I sound. Just voicing my opinion. Us old guys no longer have a filter and say what is on our minds. I've made my point and will now relax for a week and play the many great yet ignored courses. Ardoilean (TGC2019) The Conservatory Club Royal Ballylough The Sandbelt The Belfry Faxon Park Reverand Green - always. Susquehannock The Shakespeare (TGC1) The Silverback Tye Dunes Powderfinger G.C. Tomahawk Golf Club Barrhaven Black McKee McGrodo (Black Widow) Harbour Pointe Falling Water Einstakt Foss The Legacy at Cape Point Royal Balwearie Hoodoo Hills Gold Remaster (TGC1) Falling Water Crystal Park Idanha Ridge The Club at Ravenswood Conservatory Club- Tour Flatrock Golf Club Circa 1995 Valmont Silverback Falling water The Sandbelt The Conservatory Club (Tour) Lake sofia the lotus flower hoback range Legacy at Cape Point Challenge Club Dunas del Pinet (Tour) Royal Brumby (Patrick Yates) Loa Pali (Dario Logan) Oceanic Athletic Club (Arctic Fury) I checked through some of this list (Falling Water is on it 3 times by the way) and at least 10 aren't on TGC2019. I can safely say that at least another 6 have featured on one of the tours this season as well.

I really don’t know why you’re getting so worked up over this. Doubtful Island is a great course. So what if there’s one object? Nothing wrong with a minimalistic course if it’s done well (which that one is). Just like if it’s done well, there’s nothing wrong with a course with a maxed out plant meter.

Took that from a thread of GREAT courses that is on the first page. It's the only list out there of great courses. TGC and HB have no other lists. LIKES are meaningless (obviously) and there is no way to find all of the 4.5 star courses.
Sorry about the list - I've been working on it to get a better list with only TGC19 courses
Nobody is "worked up" THAT much. Just that there re so many GREAT courses. This one . . no. Not a minimalists AT ALL.

Really looking forward to a lot of folks first published course who have contributed to this thread... You're joking right? They're too busy playing their rounds and finding faults with everything.

Thank you for reminding me that life as a ranger is much better than life as a scheduler.

I’m just offended that I don’t have a course on that list... Refund, please.

Yeah same Justin. I’m clearly an elite and superior designer that’s a member of the so-called “TGCT Designer Clique”

I know the last thing anyone of you on this thread wants is yet another opinion from a newbie, but wtf. I have read all the posts on this thread and agree with some, not others (big shock yeah?).
The rating system is highly flawed IMHO for the reasons some of you discussed, and I wonder if it would be possible to have a TGCT rating system where the members here rated the courses on the various tours with a little more detail. I am not talking about a detailed course review, but a checkbox-type poll rating several different factors on a course, such as playability, smoothing/sculpting, interesting/uniqueness, and perhaps other categories someone can think of. These could be collated after each tournament to give a more detailed rating for the Tour schedulers to use. Obviously this would only rate courses actually used on the tours, but it might be informative. I would even be willing to help with the collation.
It not my intent to cause a flame war here or get anyone's panties in a bunch. Just a wild idea - if you think it is dumb say so but please be polite.

I can safely say that at least another 6 have featured on one of the tours this season as well. Don't forget The Sandbelt and Silverback getting multiple mentions! Also, how many of these courses don't fall into at least one of these categories: -Has previously been on tour already (at least two of these were on tour in the last month, and several have been on tour multiple times) -Have not been imported from previous games (and are therefore impossible to put on tour) -Are newly created and/or part of an active contest (I love how Lake Sofia can qualify as being a "forgotten course" while in an active contest. Somebody should inform SindreRev that his career is dead).
I'm still not convinced that this list isn't some form of satiric genius.
Edit: confused Bentleigh and Ballylough for a minute. Still put more effort into reading the list than the author did compiling it. Also, just to be safe, someone should still inform gamesdecent that his career is also dead.

This thread has jumped the entire shark week.
Also...this is your daily reminder that this is a video game. We purchased this game to play golf and make courses and have fun. If you are not having fun then you should play something else. If the game is making you have arguments with people you don't know about content that isn't your own on a website you don't pay for about a tour that you don't administrate...step back. Play the game. Enjoy it. Play the tour. Enjoy it. If you can't...then play the witcher or something.

People are having arguments because of how much they love this game AND all these courses. Can’t tell me that this sort of thing happens in any other sports game!
