I have never based any given rating on MY gameplay. I base it on whether I like the look of the course, how it actually plays or should be played after I bonked a shot. If a course plays great but looks like crap, I rate it as such. Many times I have played well but the course has squiggly fairway edges or bunkers look like pancakes...those types of course get no better than a 3 from me. Why because we do have some great designers and the effort they put in shows on the design of those courses.

I just give every course 2 stars unless it's an ArcticFury or Scarpacci course, then it's a 5. And I always give a Canuck course a 1. That guy just blows.

Everybody talks about all the wonderful beautiful courses and we get Doubtful Island on tour? There is ONE object on the entire course. This was the best they could find?
I can’t play this 5 times without poking a stick in my eye and won’t play it. Sorry. It’s hard to justify this course in my book. This is one of the top 50 courses out there?

Thousands of courses and the one we get has LITERALLY one object. If this is one of the top courses available, TGC is going downhill sorry but somebody has to say it. Not cutting the course. I’m cutting down the people that picked THIS ONE for tour My donated money is not being spent wisely But if this is one of the best courses left and everybody loves it. Im fine I just don’t think it is. Have we played Lake Sofia yet ?

Friend of the designer?. It’s the ONLY way this was ever picked. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. - Christopher Hitchens Seriously. We except more then this course. Thousands of courses and the one we get has LITERALLY one object. Are you arguing that a course's quality is directly correlated to its object count? If this is one of the top courses available, TGC is going downhill sorry but somebody has to say it. Not cutting the course. All you've done so far is to complain that you don't like the course. I’m cutting down the people that picked THIS ONE for tour My donated money is not being spent wisely Schedulers are volunteers. I'll tell Doyley he should quadruple our salary. But if this is one of the best courses left and everybody loves it. Im fine I just don’t think it is. Again, we are not in the business of scheduling the courses that grinder-twelve-thousand likes. I do not care whether you like the course. I care that the course is of reasonable quality and provides an appropriate challenge. Have we played Lake Sofia yet? What I may think of a different course has absolutely zero impact on whether a particular course should be scheduled for tour play. If that were the case, we'd fire up Ardoilean every week.

Well - since we have not PLAYED Ardoilean - yes - why not. This goes ALL THE WAY BACK to the OP. There are so many GREAT courses that never get played. Why play new average courses when there are so many great ones! Just because something is new does not give it a reason to have to play it.
and YES - I understand its a free thing - I have volunteered in the past and understand it's "work" and a labor of love and all that . . . but this before Ardoilean and so many awesome courses out there?
and REALLY ErixonStone - I do appreciate all you guys do. I'm not as "angry" as I sound. Just voicing my opinion. Us old guys no longer have a filter and say what is on our minds.
I've made my point and will now relax for a week and play the many great yet ignored courses.
Ardoilean (TGC2019) The Conservatory Club Royal Ballylough The Sandbelt The Belfry Faxon Park Reverand Green - always. Susquehannock The Shakespeare (TGC1) The Silverback Tye Dunes Powderfinger G.C. So how about this. A season is what? Roughly 42 weeks right ? What if out of those 42 weeks you do a SUPER WEEK. Have it 6 times, spread out over the season. With those super weeks, we get the best of the best courses to play. This would be separate from qualifying and major weeks. Could something like this be implemented? Would people even want something like this? I think it would be pretty cool and I think we would get some awesome golf too!

Well - since we have not PLAYED Ardoilean - yes - why not. Ardoilean hosted CC-Pro events in Week 33. There were over 200 events run by TGCTours over the course of season 5; I am partly responsible for 84 of them. I don't expect everyone to like every course we choose. That's not possible. That means that there is a really good chance that you won't like at least one of the selections. This is your week.

Still surprises to me this day how Oceanic was ignored. If Arctic Fury ports it to each iteration of the game, it would be a permanent fixture on the CC-Pro tour and we'd play it twice every season (that's an old running joke).
