Would have loved to have seen a tropical course this week for the Sony Hawaiin Open, purely from the standpoint of wanting to replicate the irl PGA as closely as we can. Selfishly, I guess, thought Copavista may have gotten some consideration for this event, but looks like I’m 0 for 2 in that category thus far this season.
This is without seeing the course yet btw. Sounds like a few tricks, but I’m sure we’ll all survive, we’re all playing the same course anyway I guess.

Put it this way, I’ve only played a couple practice rounds thus far, but it makes me want to gouge my own eyes out with a pitch mark repairer. Unfortunately, this week, I didn’t bring it, coz I won’t be repairing any pitchmarks on these stupid greens.

Stupid greens yet the leader birdied 2/3’s of the holes so far 1 day into scores being posted. 🤔

Especially being so close last week. You realize you birdie 18 you have the tiebreaker on me because you eagled 15. You’ll be back.

Sure if you spend your whole life on the game every course is easy.

Got nothing to do with last week, not really sure why you thought to bring it up. Perhaps trying to rub it in, in an underhand sly sort of way? Says it all really lol.

The more I look at it, the more I’m wondering if that course design is actually a cry for help 😂😂😂😂

I was just happy we didn’t have 200 mph winds for once. Had an incredible first round but choked all my progress away In R4 with 2 triples: stuck behind retaining walls both times.

I’m looking at retirement. Not sure if this is for me anymore.

Additionally, we used tropical courses to match IRL in 4 of the first 5 events, which left the tropical pool quite thin for PGA-level tracks. Nothing against your course, but no course gets re-used that much so shortly

Not complaining, please don’t take it that way. I know y’all have a tough gig, and like I said, I’m sure we’ll all be fine.

So what you're all saying is that this is the PERFECT course to get me out of my TGCT funk and not wanting to play much??

I didn't mind the greens. For me, it was how it looked. The dark sky with orange was a huge turn off almost immediately. For me, comparing it aesthetically to the courses Euro and Web are playing is night and day difference.
But, to each their own. No disrespect intended to the dedigner; just not my cup of tee. Can't please everyone. On to next week.

Hey hippystein , I followed your ghost in R2. I could feel the steam coming out of your ears on the back9. BTW, you may need this next time...
