This week we head to Dovetail Park, as usual I extend the offer to the designer SAM to say a few words about his course, his other courses if he so wishes. When I first became a scheduler way back when, Sam was one of the first course creators I talked to. I really did not know what I was doing, some say I still don’t know what I am doing but I was nervous about talking to designers, asking them to make changes on their courses, but his helpfulness and manner made it so much easier for me and that has continued every time I have spoken to him since. So I am delighted to bring another one of his courses to the tour, have fun everyone and good luck.

Good first 9, mediocre hole 10-16. Then this nice bonus from 192 yards.
All in all a good -10 to start, but made some mistakes that prevented me to go lower. Hit way too many rough as well.

Cheers Dan ( hmammoth ).... thanks for your kind comments. For those that have played the past versions of Dovetail Park I think you'll appreciate the extensive changes I've made to the course. The best way to promote the track is to repeat my description from the submissions / approved page: The original " Dovetail Park" dates back to April of 2015 so it was in need of an extensive overhaul & has been renamed "Dovetail Park 2019 Par 72" for the latest version of the game. Every single green has received a makeover. Gone are the forced, unnatural undulations from the original & TGC2 versions..... replaced with much fairer subtle contours & breaks for 2019. Eight holes have undergone varying degrees of cosmetic reworking to either assist the new game play or alter their difficulty level. Some may also notice new or reworked aesthetics to the outer plot & or hole backdrops making for a more immersive round. I worked closely with Dan behind the scenes to ensure the event plays fair but has a decent challenge for master clubs so I will be more than interested to see how he finally tweaked the default settings & read any feedback. If you're going to have a practice round or two make sure you fire up the "Par 72" version after your search results as I had to correct an HB publishing error which rendered the 18th to a 535 yard par 4.... In the correct version it's now a much fairer 549 yard par 5. Good luck to you all. Sam.

I've always been a very big fan of Sam courses so now I'm kind of excited for this week.

I got myself demoted from Euro after four straight horrific MC -- so hoping to be a little more comfortable in Web. This week, I shot pretty consistently over the four rounds. -10 // -8 for -18 at cut -7 // -12 for -19 after cut and -37 overall. One bogey for the tournament. My goal is just to make a cut and get some momentum going after a discouraging month. Good luck all!

I’ve missed 3/5 cuts and yet I’ve never gotten a demotion mark, which means I’m floundering in mediocrity on this tour. Hopefully a nice SAM course is just what I need to get some momentum... and then I read about -18ish being a possible cut line?! I likely don’t have a chance this week, but I’ll play my rounds on Twitch around 3pm Eastern on Monday.

But Dan and myself have an Alt shot at that time

It's an easier course but in high winds not so much. I don't see -18 as the cut here depending on conditions. I was thinking more around-13 to -16.

Tenahka Is there a time you're NOT streaming, honestly? You've basically taken over the Twitch world around here, no? ;-)
