-39 for me
First two rounds were ugly with my longest putt being 12 ft, but caught fire in the 3rd round.

I'm starting too late to appreciate this course. The 2 weeks of inactivity sadly destroyed my swing (and my putt) too much and I'm starting to shot a bit straight again just yesterday, but the tournament was already ruined by my first round in -3, in which my swing was simply awful. So the -7 doubled in second and third round sounds just useless, but I'm happy cause i played those rounds very quickly and i can see how restarting with practice I'll return soon or later to the good performances i was able to have before to be forced to stop myself. For some day I feared that I could simply never play well again So said, to be fully honest probably even in my best form I could suffer this course. Is one of those courses that you must to play when well trained and very focused and i have still to improve enough to play well always and everywhere. Furthermore, i could not explain exactly why, maybe is the "general color"..i don't know, but there's something in this kind of courses that visually bothers and distracts me. It happens to me, for example, often with desert themed courses..but I have never understand exactly what is that I don't like. But the more I play this course, the more i appreciate it. Is a tough one and is good to play hard courses also in cc. The only thing, just to say, is that i personally believe this is one of those (rare) courses, where there is no need to messes up too much the ground's default setups (default greens are normal and fast with soft fairways). And it seems to me one of those cases where could be better to avoid very hard fairways and greens, (while the very fast speed is good, if not even better, with the shapes and slopes of this greens). It should be interesting to try some extreme setup like more or less soft and fast or very fast greens, just to change trying some experiment, instead to use this setup. But is just personal taste, of course. I come back to practice on some course

Had to get my rounds in today as hols are starting Tuesday. I think this is the first time I have every done 4 round of a tourney in one sitting without even a bathroom break.
One sec.
Ok, I'm back.
Round 1 started with a 3 jack bogey on the 1st. Managed to regroup with birdies on 5, 8 and 9 to turn at -2. Birdie train kept on going the 11, picked up another on 14 then grinded it out to turn in a -5. Not the best but no drops after that poorly struck putt on 1. Onward.
Round 2 and I exacted some revenge with birdie on 1 & 2. Dropped two more birdies on 5 & 6 then iggled the 9th to turn at -6. Back nine was clean with birdies on 10, 14 and 15. Clean -9, -14 thru 36 holes. About what I expect out of myself, but thought it would be a pair of sevens not a 5 and a 9. Onward..
Round 3 saw another good outward half, 5 birdies on a clean card. Back nine was also clean but with only 4 birdies, but back to back -9 rounds is very un-Vandelayish. But I'll take it! -23 thru 54 holes, already close to my score from last week. Onward...
Final round started slowly, -3 at the turn with birdies on 5, 8 and 9 just like in the first round. Caught fire on the back with birdies on 11 thru 14. Added another on 17 and barely missed one on 18 which would have given me another -9 round. -31 is my first CC-Pro event finished at -30 or better, but the thing I am most proud of is being bogey free over that last 71 holes.
Will I win? No way. Will I get a promo mark? Maybe. Should at least keep the reds at bay.
See you folks in a couple of weeks, and as always...
Onward!

This week's course is pretty interesting. I like the environment and the colors, it's a very good work made by the designer. A pair of holes requires some choice about strategy and i really like the different distances on par 3 holes. Some day ago i tried every pin but the 2nd, just to check it, with default conditions and scored a -13, -9 and -7, if I remember well. I also played my practice round with tourney's conditions right now, scoring a -10, although my swing kicked constantly to the left. If i find how to fix the kick and stay focused and relaxed, it could be a good tourney. We'll see..
Good luck to anyone, guys.

Just did Q school and was placed here in CC-C! Looking forward to being a part of this TGC community. I already finished up my 4 rounds for this week, was too antsy to get started I suppose. What do most of you guys do to prepare for the events? Practice rounds on the course? Anything else?

What do most of you guys do to prepare for the events? Practice rounds on the course? Anything else? Welcome on this tour and on the cc-c. Well, it depends. Anyone has his own habits, i suppose. Generally speaking, i play 4 practice round with the conditions of every round (you can easily know this just checking the tourney's page in game, the one that appears just before to start your round). Obviously, especially when default wind direction is used (as it happens almost always) conditions can be different, but is useful anyway, at least to decide the clubs to put into your bag. I normally use always the same, but sometimes i have to change something. It depends only by the long par 3s, for me. What else...mmmm..i don't know. Ah..personally i try to avoid to play all my rounds in a shot. But i know of a lot of guys who have no problems to do this and scoring well. Is all about point of views, in the end. Well..good luck and enjoy your journey

What do most of you guys do to prepare for the events? Practice rounds on the course? Anything else? Half the time I play one practice round on default settings. Just to get a feel and make sure there are no surprises. the other half of the time I just jump right in. It’s not like I have to learn to swing or anything any more and extra rounds don’t really do anything but get me bored with a course. then I play 1 round a night. If I play more I get stale. This way I can’t wait to play again.

I just get out there and play, learning the course as I go to use in the following rounds. Usually complete all four rounds in about an hour. I'm doing well enough so far so I think I'll stick to that practice. -Anybody else expecting really low scores this week? I came in at -32 and definitely left some opportunities out there.

Man that 3rd round was tuff with PRO clubs. I can see why MASTER CLUBS are or were (we shall see tomorrow) dominating. Still -6 for -25 after 3 rounds with PRO clubs. Bogie on the very first hole - MAN I HATE THAT. What hurt was not getting on those greens. Very readable for long putts but I was just off the green (like anybody cares) . lessthanbread - when was the last time you DIDN'T leave shots on the course. LOL Like chasing a carrot.

Well, I really messed up. I shot 68 and 63 with master clubs, then forgot to change back to them after testing a course on pro clubs. Shot 59 with the pros which is very good, but I feel a little dirty.

Murphy's Law. Bogey free tournament until the 17th hole on the fourth round and the shitty servers acted up. I get a slow swing causing my ball to go to the right of the green in the rough. All downhill I have to chip and it hits the edge of the green, thought I hit it perfectly, rolls all the way past the hole and keeps rolling to the lower tier of the green giving me a 42 foot put with 2 feet of elevation. Bogey. Makes me want to delete the game and throw the controller away. Never fails, always one hole per round the servers act up and your fighting to save par.
