I’m taking this off-season period to retrain myself to use the right stick instead! I find I’m able to have better tempo that way but my putting is WAY worse. Hopefully I get there. Try a mouse

Hole 17 - how has everyone played it tee to green? My four rounds are done and I hit driver twice followed by 2 wood on a huge side slope, rd3 i teed off with a 2 wd but still had a huge side slope, Rd 4 went back to the driver. Was I missing something? Was there a better way to play the hole?

My four rounds are done and I hit driver twice followed by 2 wood on a huge side slope, rd3 i teed off with a 2 wd but still had a huge side slope, Rd 4 went back to the driver. Was I missing something? Was there a better way to play the hole? Interesting theme and question. What makes this course so good is also the strategic side of some hole. In special way the last. About the 17, actually for me (using pro clubs) the choice is simple, cause between the landing point of the driver and the green, there is no safe point where to aim to play "wisely". Hitting a 2w from the tee, forces you to hit a fairway in every case really narrow and uphill, with your second. And probably always with a lie not so good. The risk to miss it is so high that then is probably always better try the combo Driver/2 wood (if you have the 2w, if not, then the longer club you have) and try to finish the nearer is possible to the green. With a bit of luck, you'll have in every case a medium/long flop shot. Even if I saw that, with the 3rd pin, if you miss the fairway on your second, you risk to have a third shot exactly between the longest flop shot and the shortest pitch is possible (I hate it when it happens ). The real bastard thing, in all this, is that after the tee shot with the driver, is almost mathematic your ball will have an horrible lie, with the ball way higher than your feet. But the fairway is still hittable with the second. Especially with low wind. So the choice is made, for me. Strategically, I prefer the last hole. It offers a really interesting range of opportunities..and you can decide your poison (oh..by the way. Sorry for the delay and the silence about your course. I really had no time in these last days. After tomorrow I really hope I'll have some more free time available and I'll play better your course, but I already have a pair of thoughts that maybe could be useful for you.. I was waiting also for your last three holes, to have a complete scene. But I'll restart to play it in every case. Sorry again ) Good week end, guys!

New season is nearly upon us, presume a new thread will start. In the mean time does anyone want to start a bit of friendly banter rivalry? I use PS4 Master Clubs am World Ranked 1026 and will start each week trying to get in the top 10 Master users.
